Hlavac/Nedved/Kovalev really cooking

Just looking over some statistics after watching some hi-lites over the past week of some Rangers goals, and it seems this line, Hlavac/Nedved/Kovalev, could very well be the Rangers 1st line this season and has been a revelation in preseason. Chemistry is really there.

Czech-mates Part Duex? I hope so.

Poolies take note: Hlavac might be a great sleeper on a line like this!

Czech mates?

'cept for that Russian on their line.

Though, they can have Dvorak back if we get Kovalev at the same price :p

Ohh yeah.

Well, close enough. Get Kovalev to play on the Czech national team a-la Nedved for Team Canada! Hah.

The line has looked great, but im sure all ranger fans will agree that we still need to see more from Hlavac. Nedved and Kovy have been great, but Hlavac still doesnt look totally polished, but i think this line is really gunna stick.

Its planned to be Rucinsky-Lindros-Carter. It also has looked good. Not great, but diffently showing signs that they can be effective. Dont be surprised if Lundmark is on that line at sometime though.

The line looks good, but Hlavac needs to pick it up. I have to give Nedved some credit... He had a horrible 01-02 season -- he was the scape goat, the object of everyone's ire, and the subject of loud boos at the Garden. It had to be tough on the guy. But he got his stuff together and had a great 02-03. He really showed me something.

He looked great yesterday. He looked like his old self, hitting, stiring stuff up, and getting an assist on Ruchinsky's goal.

Blackburn hasn't even played in camp because of a shoulder injury, so odds are that he will start in Hartford when it is better.

They are officially our #1 line. Check out the username. I called this a while ago. They'll be a top line in all of the league this year.

The idea ever since last year was to have Blacky play in Hartford all year because they want to build up his endurance/stamina over the season. He's expected to get around 50-60 games down there. Last year when Richter first went down he started off great but after his 8-9th straight game it was apparant he lacked a little endurance. He should be fine though.

Lindros lost some weight this off season and it is noticable if you see a picture of him. His skating looks much better then last year but the biggest difference is it looks like he's playing with confidence again, something we never saw in 2002-2003. He was one of our better players in training camp and in preseason he's been better then good. He's clicking with Rucinsky it looks like Carter is now starting to gel with them. Lindros has also been more aggressive then I've ever seen him in a Rangers uniform. I expect him to have a solid year but if he continues to play like he has, theres potential for a big year. I might sound a bit too optimistic but he's been good. If healthy, you should expect 75+ points.

True, true, but it wasn't definite. Sather said that Blackburn would be given every opportunity to win the backup job. Although, he may have just been saying that to appease him

Yeah, I remember that stretch last year. The first time I saw him, I was like whoa, this kid going to be a superstud. As time went on, it became obvious he just wasn't capable of handling that ammount of work yet. A year in the AHL will definatley do him good.
