GDT: Milwaukee @ Cincinnati[Anaheim] 6:35 EST

Milwaukee goes on the road after blowing a chance last night to tie Chicago. Cinci is one win away from locking up the 4th playoff spot. Looks like Milwaukee will catch Houston in the first round, while Cinci will play Chicago. Smith and Haydar returning last night was the only positive thing that happened. Admirals 22 man clear day roster is now back on the ice(+ Paul Brown?)

I'm heading to Cincinnati in a couple of hours. Here's hoping to a better performance tonight than last time I was up there.

Go Admirals!!!

Milwaukee outshot 19-8 in the first period and trail 1-0...Finley kept them in the game honestly, holding them thru a 1 minute 5 on 3 and stopping two 2 on 1's and a breakaway...ads give up a goal with 2 minutes to go in the first, when suter backpedaling falls down at the blueline and they wind up with an odd man rush

way to ease my nervousness a bit ...

269 GF (lead league last year) 191 GA (last year) + 78 GD (also lead league last year)
240 GF T-3(Binghamton leads with 271) 204 GA (11th)

the dip in goal scoring isn't explainable, imo ... all we added was possibly the best rookie dman in the league from the NHL and Suter ... wow ... we woulda probably be #1 in GF again if not for the injuries to Haydar, Smith and Upshall

speaking of scoring....looking at what impact the AHL rule changes might have had;

2004-05....2191 games played-5864 goals scored....2.67 goals per game

2003-04....2240 games played-5721 goals scored....2.55 goals per game

Yeah, lost in all of this is that the Ads are a dynamite hockey team despite having to endure serious injuries/absensces of Haydar, Pivko, Suter, Shishkanov, Yablonski and the near useless play (at times) of backup goalie Seamus Kotyk.

bad news galore..tootoo reinjures his shoulder...same one he's missed time with twice already this year...then chicago wins and wins the division

and cassivi, the ducks goalie,is exactly why no one wants to play cincinnati in the playoffs....10 shutouts leads the league...including 3 against the admirals this year(almost the fourth tonight)

shishkanov scores his 20th on the pp at the 18:44 mark of the 3rd(a 6 on 4 with finley pulled)

I was at the game last night and Toots was targeted (or rather his shoulder was targeted). They wanted to take him out and they did. It looked like they popped it back in place on the bench or at least tried to.

The ref was also from the ECHL which explained why some of the non-calls against Cincinnati were calls against Milwaukee.

It was a very ugly game. I noticed that some of the Ducks ...... never mind.

Patty...how did they target his shoulder....in other words, can you describe the "mechanism of injury".

If he is becoming a chronic dislocator of the shoulder, it looks like a fairly big off season surgery for Toots.

From what I saw, Toots was going for a puck in a corner with his right shoulder toward the glass. One of the Ducks ran that specific shoulder into the glass hard. This same Duck had tried it a couple of times earlier.

Patty, you should also mention the guys behind us applauding his team for taking Tootoo out of the line-up. Talk about poor sportsmanship....

What would they do if someone went after Cassivi???

Absolutely. Knowing me, you can just imagine what was said. I even offered to spell some of the words for them. And ... Pred33fan gave he double hockey sticks too.
