Well Andrew Peters signed a 2 way one year deal with Florida...this is one of the guys I was hoping Lombardi would sign until Westgarth is healthy and can go down to Manchester and protect the young guys...Both the Kings and Monarchs will be without an enforcer to start the 2010-11 season.
As someone who watches the sabres and is a fan of both teams. No, no we do NOT want Peters. By far the most useless player in the NHL, he will cause nothing but anger the guy cannot fight anymore.
Definitely has the UFO sound, although I doubt either of the guitarists in that band can play anywhere close to the level of Michael Shenker. I saw UFO opening for Rush at the Santa Monica Civic in the late seventies or early eighties (I'm blurry on the date) and UFO blew 'em off the stage. Sheer power Rock N Roll.

And where is UFO now?
I saw Skid Row open for Aerosmith in the late eighties .....the former blew the latter off the stage .....but does anybody give a rats @ss about Skid Row today?

Believe it or not they are still together and still tour. Saw them in Vegas in November.
Vinnie Moore is a kickass guitarist.

Ah the memories. I was at this show myself. Believe that it was 1977. Shenker was the man.

Wow! 1977!!! Not that you are interested but I share it anyway.
I was ten years old and found my uncle's Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple records. After that I wasn't the same. Deep Purple made an deep impact on me and I seriously began to listen to music after that and I still love Deep Purple.

dchesnokov Former #Devils fitness coach Vladimir Bure told SovSport he thinks the #NJD will move Elias to make room for Kovalchuk.
If we took this as accurate, would you want Dean to make a play for Elias? He's got 3 years left at a $6 million cap hit. Since this would be a salary dump by NJ, it would take prospects/picks to get him.
Would you package Hickey+ for Elias?
Of course, Elias has a NTC and can pick his destination and I'm sure the Kings would not be one of them.
Elias had 19 goals and 48 points in 58 games last year and he's 34.

I dig Elias, but yeah, Smyth's contract makes that a no-go, imo.
Not to mention that I doubt DL is willing to help Lou sign Kovy by taking Elias off his hands...unless it's for 'future considerations' or something worthless.
Elias is more injury prone than Smyth. His best days are well behind him. Any deal like this brings back memories of how Jack Kent Cooke used to run the Kings.
Let's just be glad that Smyth will be off the books in two years. He has been and will likely continue to be a very useful player, but the cap hit is about $1.5M too high.
