Stop it already.
I change my opinions?

Pretty sure he signed a two-year deal.

As for him in the KHL next season, I'm not expecting miracles. I think he'll pace about the same. He's going to be hitting his stride soon. The longer players are overseas the harder it is to transfer to the North American game. That said, I was excited about Popov, but I become less and less excited every week he's not over here.

He's going to be awesome...over in Sweden. He made up his mind. He's not coming to Philadelphia even after saying he felt comfortable waiting his turn in the AHL as long as it got him closer to the NHL. I don't trust anything that comes from him anymore.

Pretty much every prospect is accounted for. There's really nothing to report. I'm working on the HF Summer Cleaning where every prospect is getting updated (about time I know). I'm in charge of the Atlantic division. That's what I've been doing all summer outside of work/hockey camps/etc.

The top 20 is in and accounted for. I just haven't had a chance to do a full writeup. That will likely come by Monday.

It just proves I'm not Holmgren because if I were Holmgren I would've sent Turco, Mason, Nabokov, Biron, and Ellis the same offer: $2.00m/2 years. I'd let them fight for it. Whoever came calling first is the one who would get the contract, and I'd just leave it on the table for as long as it took.

The games themselves are just a long series of mild curiosities designed to fool your intelligence.
Probably the funniest two sentences I read today.

id rather have him skate out to attack the shooter. i don't mean to poke check them or something, i mean actually physically maim the puck carrier. if the other team's shooters are too terrified to go near leighton, they may not score. i think thats the only way.

Sadly, I don't think Leighton would be fast enough to pull it off. The man has the reflexes of a zombie from an 80's movie... He is so slow, I think that if he actually caught you and maimed you... YOU should go to jail instead of him.

Maybe instead of a shootout we can just have 'Paper Scissors Rock' at center ice between captains, best 2/3 wins. Or maybe we could just forfeit and save ourselves a little embarrassment.
