He received a four-year deal from the Flyers after Sather was unwilling to go past three years on a contract.
Should read three-year

Wasn't that bad of a read. Then again, at this time of the year, anything hockey related seems great

Why should it read that? The sentence is written correctly.

Lack of hockey makes us pick on grammar ?

Come season, come!

That was actually a pretty good article, especially for NHL.com. The lack a major moves (Hopefully continuing team chemistry and building on it) combined with a real back-up goalie, secondary scoring in Frolov, the young players are a year younger and should progress even more (Staal, MDZ, Anisimov, Callahan, and Dubinsky) and a full season of Christiansen playing with Gaborik (Hopefully, again, that Christiansen's play last season wasn't a flash in the pan).

And did anyone read the stuff on the side about three prospects to watch? They stated that if MDZ improves his defensive game that he could be in the hunt for the Norris Trophy in a few years.

Because Shelley signed a 3 year deal with philly, not 4 year.

The article also says that Voros was in Tort's doghouse most of last year, which isn't true. He didn't play because he isn't very good, not because Torts didn't like him.

You're right and so was he. My mistake, I was looking at the second half of the sentence

Shelley was offered the same thing that he took with Philly. He didn't want to be a Rangers.

Glad, because I didn't want him to be a Ranger.
