Richards
Fisher

To Ottawa:
Savard

To Boston:
Blum
Ward

Like this issue is basically impossible to work through (as seen in this **** storm of a post) although its a very good idea
Does Nashville get a bare wire condom with that ******?

Ottawa couldn't take on 4M without sending the same the other way. So BOS - OTT alone did not make good trading partners.

All Sens' fans love Mike Fisher but most of us agree that his 4.2M cap hit is too high when you factor in his offense production. I wasn't willing to trade Spezza for Savard but for Mike Fisher? Most definitely! Gritty players are easier to replace than offensive gifted ones. I do think he would wave his NMC if it was in Carrie's best interest.
Disagree, I think 4.2 is fair for 45-55 points plus great two way play. I would prefer that to Savard putting up 60-70 points (his production will fall with second line minutes) with less defensive prowess.

I'd even gladly give up Michalek.

That's actually a pretty good proposal considering it's HF. Nashville won't be keen on giving up Hornqvist, and Ottawa will have to add the biggest + to this.

How about Savard for Hornqvist straight up? Nashville gets boned in the 3 way deal, and it would be a great return value wise in a salary dump for Boston.

that doesnt make sense, cause if they couldnt afford him, then they would be against the cap and if they are against the cap, then its only a 4 million hit.

First off, I don't want the Bruins to trade Savard, but these proposals are mostly for ****s and giggles anyway so here's something I would consider.

Ottawa gets one of the best ppg centers in the league since the lockout and a young offensive defensemen.

Nashville gets a young d-man and a 20 goal forward to help their offense.

Boston gets a huge upgrade on the Backend.

Alternatively, if Nashville would like a more expirienced blueliner coming back, Campoli and Hunwick could be factored out, and Boston could send Ference to Nashville. Maybe throw a pick there with him.
Suter is to good.

then it might be time for that owner to go if he is unwilling to spend to the cap.

Last time I checked, most owners don't want to lose money on their team. There is no doubt the current owners are able to pay the salaries, but then they would be operating in the red. That's bad for business. Red too long = no franchise.

I'm actually amazed by the Preds, they manage to ice a solid team every year, in spite of their internal cap.
