The year after that, maybe 4-6. That is what his value is - a 4-6 for one year as long as he overcomes heavy odds and has a continuous progression. In other words, near zero value.

Evry team needs a bunch of guys like him so that a couple will turn out.

BTW, Hemsky for Schenn is a very logical deal. It meets both teams needs and both deal from their strengths. I like it.
He's 3 years from RFA... he's only 21..............

I like it. A nice change from the unrealistic mega proposals prevalent around here.

Value on either side and well thought out.

But why would Edmonton do it? It's not giving anything they don't have in the system now and they haven't got anything else like Omark in the system right now.

There is just no way Edmonton does this deal, whether we are all agree or disagree if the value is the same on both sides. I believe that GM's are more reluctant to trade prosects like Omark because of what could possibly happen. An example is Kris Versteeg, the Bruins pretty much gave up on him before he even played a game in the NHL and now he has two 20 goals seasons and a Stanley Cup. Other examples are picks that turn out to be gems and the teams wouldnt of known until they got these players in the line up, Lucic 50th, M.Green 30th, Franzen 97th and the list goes on and on. Its too much of a gamble for any team to trade prospects these days because you just never know what you might have.
