Chris Summers is also an interesting player, solid defenceman and, I believe, just started his pro career... Anyways, there are many players that I like in Phoenix, which is why they are my 2nd favorite team. Hell, if we can get any of the following players, I'd be extatic (provided the trade isn't lopsided in PHX's favor): OEL, Summers, Ross, Ahnelov, Turris, Boedker, Tikhonov, Goncharov, Hanzal, Korpikoski, Visentin, Gormley, MacLean, Upshall, Wolski and Vrbata. (Not Doan for I would love to see him finish his career as a Yote.)
so basically...your suggesting that Andrei Kostitsyn...is worth Tikhonov and Mikael Boedker?

I think we'd have to throw in a 1st, Weber, and a prospect just to have them consider giving up Boedker.

This is perfect.

AK + Hammer + Moen + Weber
for
Tikhonov + Aucoin + 1st

We sign Kovalchuk with the extra $

Bryzgalov comes down crashing, hello Couturier

The french media are happy we got Aucoin

flawless

Not interested. Mind you, I say that with full awareness of my ignorance. I remember watching Tikhonov on Team Russia, he always had some slickness and a nice overall physical package, but sort of a Kovalev-lite. I didn't think his stuff would translate to the NHL. But then I never really watched him in the NHL. He has pure skill and NHL size, so he can play. But I don't really think we need him. We need more north-south in our top-6. If we can't make up our minds about Andrei, we sure shouldn't waste our time on Tikhonov. A lot said out of ignorance, hey?

That is EXACTLY what I'm saying: "Probably won't happen, but I'd be happy to give a little extra for this trade to happen."

You are completely DEAD ON. Plus, why the hell would Phoenix want Weber? Yandle has a blast from the point and is much better defensively. And, we're only talking about Boedker, he's a very good prospect, but a solid prospect AND a firest is way too high.

True enough, but I'm not proposing that we get Tikhonov to play on our top 6, I was pencilling him in our 3rd or 4th line and with the cap space we free up by trading AK, we can get a top 6 forward from a team looking to free up some cap space.

Thikonov-Eller would be a nice duo on the 3rd line

Speaking of Boedker, I'd just like to add that he's a beast on the NHL 11 demo. That is all.

Interesting, I don't know what to make of this or even if possible in near future. This isn't your average Russian player, I think he actually likes it in North America.

We'll put an eyeball on this...

I don't. I am sure he's gonna have a good NHL career... But not in Montreal, of course. Like I said about Halak.
