Godard

now that the pens have Rupp, Cooke and Asham to do the dirty work, I would really like to trade Godard away. (Especially if you consider, that Talbot, Kunitz, Orpik, Adams and Kennedy aren't afraid to drop the gloves, too.)I would take any pick for him.

interest anywhere?

If Ivanans goes down sometime in the season then we will take him back.

Orr, Boogard and Shelley are now in your division and you want to trade your top enforcer? Who could go toe to toe in fighting those three other than Godard on your team? Rupp maybe? If the penguins would trade him I'm sure someone would be interested in acquiring him for a third round pick or so. But if he is traded expect even more runs at Crosby/Malkin.

Shero didn't add Asham to get rid of someone else-he added Asham to toughen the team up for the toughest division in hockey.

Pens should keep Godard - he's the only guy who can go toe to toe with Boogard in the league.

7th rounder. 6th if he can play the PK alright.

It's beyond me how Boogard and Shelley made so much cash this offseason, they aren't hockey players, they're boxers-on-skates.

Godard play the PK? Have you ever watched him play before? And those players are getting paid that money to protect their star players. Just wait until Godard and Orr's deals are up. They will probably get around that much too.

play the PK , How many heavyweights kill Penalties? Shero wont trade Godard nor should he, Asham and Rupp aren't going to go toe to toe with Shelley and Boogard.

I have long wanted Godard on the Oil... he reminds me of the true enforcers of decades past. 'We' have MacIntyre, but I would not mind Godard instead. I would be fine with seeing Tambellini trade a pick or prospect for Godard.

Jacques ????? ??????
Godard Fraser Stortini

That is a fair bit of toughness on the bottom six. Now if only the Oil had some in the top six.

Yeah, with BGL gone, Godard is the only guy in the league who can successfully take on the Bogeyman.

Take it from an Oiler fan who had to put up Boogaard taking runs at Hemsky - you'll want Godard around.

Orr and Mcintyre can take Boogaard too.

Last time I checked, Mike Rupp was a Penguin......but obviously I was mistaken.

does he really have value...?

a useless enforcer on a one way contract (not bad contract though), unless its a low grade prospect, or a 7th rounder I doubt anyone would be interested

He's worth a low pick at best but his cheap contract would be enticing to a team who wants a top heavyweight. Shero isn't moving him though.

Godard will play 30 games, at best. I really wonder why he is needed. if somebody takes a shot at somebody, why couldn't Cooke, Asham, Kunitz etc. take shots at their star players to answer the call. there is no rule, that you have to fight.
