Hopefully he can back up his **** a little more now. I love 'em but sometimes it's embarrassing to see players with their gloves off and he's just making stupid faces.

You get embarrassed easily.

Also, when did that happen? I must have missed it because I don't remember that happening ever.

Anyway. there is still plenty of guys to fill up a 4th line: Pyatt, Moen, Darche, Maxwell, White, Desharnais, Pacioretty, even Wyman.... No one to really drop the gloves against heavyweights, though. Could be get Riley Cote ?
Do we need an assistant coach?

I'd rather he took up that time to work on his faceoff and passing skills.

From my understanding, boxing is really good for endurance. Everyone is jumping to the conclusion that he's training his fighting skills, but the article isn't very specific and he could easily just be improving his conditioning.

e.g. last summer, Stajan and Colaiacovo took boxing lessons too. How many fights do you think those guys get into?

If you are an agitator, part of your job is to draw the oppoisition into stupid penalities, not fight them every chance you get.

No but I think you're thinking of O'Byrne, unless I'm mistaking

Having a boxing coach dosen't mean that he's learning to fight... Boxing traning is one of the most demanding training out there. He's basically putting himself through a very demanding and challenging training to be back in shape for training camp that's all.

Anyway, fighting on a ring or on ice isn't the same at all. A boxing trainer would be close to useless here.

But you're a sens fan - feminine products are standard issue for you and yours. Pick something else...

Some of the better news I've heard all off season. Watching Zach Bogosian last season was a new low for him. In fact my off season suggestions for the guy were to do exactly this.

It's a good news.
Probably more for a confidence boost & training perspective than a fighting one.

Go lapsy. Surprise us this year...

Moore was with us only for 21 regular season games. We spent most of the year without him.
Metro was good mainly because he produced on PP when we had injuries early on. Our bottom lines looked very bad throughout the year. A few good stints here and there, but overall quite bad.

Our primary agitator is taking boxing lessons because he is scared ****less (also the reason he doesnt drop the gloves in the first place). He is ,however, bright enough to realize that he has virtually no "insulation" against the opponents brawlers.Moen with his 1or2 fights a year or O'B who is no match for middleweights who can honestly fight (Ian Lapierre) are his protection under the pacifist Martin regime.Boxing lessons?I would be taking any self defence lesson available lol....kung fu,wrestling,karate....you name it.....I would also highly consider demanding a trade!

Well to his defence, he was carrying an injury during the season ... for him to be a deception this year means people thought he could be a strong and reliable bottom liner with the ability to score once in a while... and he actually has played like that before. Every reason to be confident he will bounce back durring the season this year ... as he had strong playoffs. When he brings it like there is no tomorrow, he's way better than what people give him credit for. And his so called ''attitude'' provided us with more breaks than penalties, especially in the playoffs.

its hard to read the boards going : '' moore was not good, metro wasn't that good either'' .... and ''our bottom 6 is now WAY better '' ..... funny cause the memories I have of them is quite different. when I watch the moore goal after a desperate play by lapierre ... and metro being able to step up on the pp, I think thats what I want in my bottom 6. trade for better? sure ... But I will wait before I join the intellectual masturbation party on this one.

I think saying that the new guys are already ''better'' (more experienced, p.o. performer , ect.. ) is just wishful thinking at this point.
