Has anyone done the tour of Lincoln Financial Field and if so, would they recommend it for an Eagles fan from out of town?
I didn't even know that there was such a thing but I can't imagine it being worth $9 and wasting at least 1:30 plus travel time when you could be doing something fun elsewhere in the city. Maybe someone here has done it and has good thing to say.

While I've never done the Lincoln Financial Field one, I have done them at Lambeau and PNC Park and I highly recommend it. It's very cool to get a behind the scenes tour and see things that you normally would never see (press box, luxury suites, get to ground level, etc).
Has South Street gotten worse or is it me? I was down there yesterday and there's just absolutely nothing to do and the shops suck. I think I might have to take back my recommendation to even go over there.

I only go there for Jim's, Lorenzo's, or the very rare slushie from Fat Tuesdays. Other than that, it's a vile place that I stay far, far away from.

South Street has gotten progressively more and more commercial over the years...
Any recomendations for a Flyers fan(my roomate) and myself while in philly? We will be there for 2 days (we will head to AC for a bit).
KEy things; College students (AKA poor) so any decent restaurants that are above fast food, but below really expensive? I will have a car, and hes a big philly fan but never been, and ive only been to AC so ive got no clue.

-Clueless leaf fan from ottawa.
ps dont not offer help just cause im a leaf fan=P
Until someone responds, there are some suggestions in the first post.
I'm still in the early stages, but i did some checking and philly looks like a great place to visit for a while, and since i'm a long time flyers fan, would be great to see them at home.
my early checking has led me to find a hotel downtown, close to the old historical area.
my question is, how easy/difficult is it to get a cab from LFF after an eagles game, and how easy/difficult is it to get a cab, later at nite after a flyers game. i wanna stay away from the bus/subway as i don't know the city at all, and don't wanna get dropped off in a strange city. i would get so lost.
Subway is actually fairly straight forward. If you're staying downtown it's a straight ride down the market street line from city hall. I would strongly encourage you to take the subway.

I'm not sure if this is the right thread for this but I didn't want to make a new one so.. I'm going to be coming down for the Islanders game on the 30th.. I got two tickets in the balconey suite for the game and I'm curious as to how they are? Anybody sit in them I'm usually the kind of guy who sits up in the nose bleeds but I'm taking my girl with me so I splurged a little bit. Any perks that you get from them or anything I should know?

I don't really think there's a bad seat in the building and I like the full ice view being higher up but compared to my usual nosebleed seat (last row of the mezzanine) the distance is a little bit more noticeable from the balcony suites. I've been up there once and vaguely recall that food and drink were in the suite but it's been a few years.
