Hörnqvist re-signed with Predators 3 years, 9.25 (3.08 per)

Rumour out of people close to Djurgården, Hörnqvist's old club, say that the Predator has re-signed or is about to re-sign a contract worth something along the lines of 3 million dollar per year.

I think this is pretty accurate and trustworthy sources.

Edit: This turned up: http://www.aftonbladet.se/sportblade...icle7668442.ab

Should post a source I guess. This says 3 years.

I don't have a reason to doubt you, but if it is a pretty accurate source, can you provide a link?

Seems a bit much for only having played one (pretty much) season.
I thought he would signed for somewhere around 2-2.5

Aftonbladet are writing SEK but they are idiots

Good for Hornqvist, I don't know if I agree with $3m, but I like that the RFA signing is starting to get some motion.

Haha, they get the numbers served to them by sources and they can't even put the thing together.

In the article, the writer says that Hörnqvist is getting a raise from his 700k SEK to 3 million SEK, but it is of course dollars.

Seems a bit high for one year of production, but if he plays that style from last year its really good value.

Every team could use a player like him.

Nothing to see really, just the normal raising his salary article and some figures from his last season.

I have to think that if he got 3 million, as opposed to the "comparables" such as Moulson, Raymond, Little, etc...this has to be for longer term.

I'm just wondering what the cap hit is and what the pays outs are for the years.

Seems like a lot for what he has done so far. Was expecting something similar to Littles' contract.

I was expecting Moulson's 2.75. Little is a bit of a different situation since he followed up his 31 goal season with last year's disappointment, whereas Hornqvist's 30 goals was last season.

Good to hear

I love the good people of Nashville and I'm hoping the sport catches on down there. Nashville has the die-hards it needs more fringe fans, and IMO no team works harder getting families and young kids in to watch the sport.

If he repeats last seasons performance 3 million is fair. More likely though is that he continues to develop and improve and 3 million looks like a bargain.

Moulson scored his goals with Tavares on his line, and that was probably an argument comin' up when comparing the two.

Good point.

Glad to see Hornqvist signed, hopefully he continues to improve.

Solid, not a steal but not a bad deal either. This guy could be really important for Nashville if they can put a few more pieces in place.

Interesting gamble. He's still an RFA after this contract.

Should be a decent comparable for Mueller, Stewart and Neal. I expect them to be signed pretty soon now that Little/Hörnqvist has signed.
