Yeah, I like the Kroenkes and I'm glad that the Avs will be under their control for the foreseeable future.

As long as it stays within the Kroenke family I don't care who technically owns the team as Stan will still be the one pulling the strings.
As long as STAN is still pulling the strings, I'm OK with the ownership.

I wonder what Bettman thinks of all of this?

I hope Kroenke remains committed to giving the Avs what they need to compete.

It prevents Ballsilly from going "Mine! Mine!" with another team.

Yea, I'm getting the impression he isn't too happy about it.

Exactly. While I'm happy we're under the Kroenke "umbrella"... I have to admit I am questioning his commitment to the team from this day forward. I hope all stays well!

I don't understand what he has done to make us question his commitment. We've spent way beyond most teams every year until this year, which was clearly a rebuilding year.

We'll probably have an internal cap this year, too, but we're still in rebuild mode as far as I can tell.

Which is probably both a good business and hockey decision. We don't know how well our kids will play next year. Once we figure out the core pieces and get them signed long term, then we can add help to key areas.

Kroenke unanimously approved as the full owner of the Rams per ESPN.

Yep, and expect it more or less to be like father like son as far as the owner's personal interest in the Avs. Josh will be very hands on with the Nuggets (already is) and Lacroix will be left to oversee the Avs.

Well, but it's not his own money, so he might be willing to spend some more of it - even on the Avs
Kovy to the Avs-rumors coming.

And no.. I don't want Kovalchuk.
