Only thing I do like about this signing is his speed. Our 4th line will probably lack speed since neither Boogaard nor Prust nor Boyle are exactly fast. Kennedy is very quick and somewhat gritty...so whenever we do need a bit more speed, he could be a good option.
If he is the 13th forward or the first call-up, I'm ok with it.

He passed through waivers at 1M$, so that should tell you about his value league-wide.Basically, you'd be getting a 4th line player who can kill penalties and be a little bit of a pest. He isn't a hitter, isn't a goalscorer, isn't a playmaker, but isn't a liability in any sense. There was a big snowball of negativity after his release from Buffalo, but ONLY, ONLY because he's a local boy. Honestly? With your glut of bottom 6 forwards, I'm not sure he's anything more than a swing man.
