Still, though, a trade would have to be made or an injury would have to occur for anyone to make this team that isn't on the roster already.
Eliteprospects.com says no team yet... He could be awesome in philly

Ive expanded my list of players I want to see

Tim Kennedy (only 24 and has a nice set of hands and wheels)
Owen Nolan (veteran who desperately needs a cup)
Miroslav Satan (proved to be great in the playoffs, has some size)
Marek Svatos (still youngish and could rebound nicely)
Bill Guerin ( less pressure on the third line and can still contribute nicely.)
Kyle Wellwood (hes a center but is still decent defensively.)
Brendan Morrison (had a decent year last year offensively.)
Mike Comrie ( tough and can score)
Evgeny Artyukhin (not sure if hes signed but would add some size up front)
Jere lehtinen (one of the best defensive wingers that can score as well.)
Ruslan Fedatenko (good in playoffs.)
Paul Kariya (still can score could win a cup for him.)
Scott Walker ( tons of energy can score.)
Richard Park ( still good defensively.)

I know we dont need more D men but it creates competition.

Kim Johnsson ( great slapshot still.)
Garent Exelby (can hit like a train.)

Anti Niemi
Jose Theodore

The only people that should be getting invites to camp are goalies and our GM is deluded to the point where he thinks our tandem is fine so even that won't happen.

I think this year the flyers wont be inviting any guys on a try out basis. If they do it will be a last minute decision.

I could see Park back and I'd like Fedetenko but I can't see him excepting a tryout on this team. Wellwood is only decent on defense when he is guarding his dinner plate. Kariya is going to sit out the year.

Only skaters I have mild interest in is Nolan and Satan.
Comrie is tough? since when? oh yeah didnt he fight Breire?
Never could understand the fascination with Artyukhin.
Scott Walker is a sand vagina.
Niemi would be a upgrade over any goalie we have now.
please stay away from Theodore.

what about Richard Zednik? just read on the main board that his khl team ended his contract, thus making him a free agent...

I'd invite a couple free agent goalies to camp. Namely, Jose Theodre and Robert Esche. Either could be a cheap cap hit and battle Leighton for the starting position. I am pretty sure Esche is a free agent now. Nabokov took his spot on St. Petersburg

According to the Times Colonist, Neil Manning is the first tryout:

Quote:
[...]

But the corollary is that the undrafted Manning has received a free-agent tryout invite next month to the training camp of the Philadelphia Flyers. The Island 19-year-old's performance in the Team Canada camp must have the Flyers feeling like geniuses.

[...]
Another invitee will be Matthew Bissonnette, a center of the Lewiston Maineiacs (Sun Journal):

Quote:
Michael Chaput and Matthew Bissonnette will report to camp with the Philadelphia Flyers, Sam Carrier will attend Washington Capitals' camp, Sam Finn has been invited to try out with the San Jose Sharks and Pierre-Olivier Morin will attend a camp with the Vancouver Canucks.

Andy Delmore is a UFA! Invite him to camp! His gloves are on display at the Franklin Institute (or at least they were last time I was there).

According to Timmy P (twitter) Guerin is working out in a Philly jersey and wants a try out contract. Come on Homer, give him one. If you gave shelly an actual contract I'm sure you can give BG a tryout.

Guerin looked like he was out to lunch last year. That being said, he's a good personality to have on your team, and having him would mean that they could put together 3 legit lines (and then have 5 guys for the fourth line...awesome). Only way Guerin would work here is if they play him 10-12 minutes a night. Otherwise, he's just gonna get burned out over a (hopefully) 100+ game schedule.

Smarter move would be to take Guerin's potential money, Shelley/Carcillo's money, Walker's money, and Boucher's money and give it to a goalie, but what do I know?

I'd like to see Billy G get a tryout. Wouldn't it be fantastic if he came back to bite the Pens in the ass?

You're out of your mind man, Hilary (and her sister for that matter) are gorgeous.

Getting Comrie could help offset the loss of Cote in the hot wife department... although Briere's divorce was addition by subtraction.

We may have a full roster, BUT the reality is that we have 8 top 9 forwards and 5 4th liners. Guerin at the minimum deserves a chance to have a tryout contract.

Mike Comrie ( tough and can score) Pansy
Evgeny Artyukhin (not sure if hes signed but would add some size up front)I'd like to see him on a line with other bigs...... very punishing... you can then get rid of Shelley and tell Arts to fight.
Jere lehtinen (one of the best defensive wingers that can score as well.)I always like Jere... great on the fourth line...
Ruslan Fedatenko (good in playoffs.) Dud
Paul Kariya (still can score could win a cup for him.) He is DONE
Scott Walker ( tons of energy can score.) [Pass
Richard Park ( still good defensively.)] Pass

I know we dont need more D men but it creates competition.

Kim Johnsson ( great slapshot still.) Soft
Garent Exelby (can hit like a train.) Not a high IQ

Anti Niemi
Jose Theodore
- I'd welcome a tryout, but it won't happen - might push Leights and would be a better upgrade than Boosh - and prolly Leights....
