No worries man, I was just being contrary. Although seriously, if you think you're close enough to beat 81%, you should work at it and try and win yourself a shoe deal or something

Yeah and I can bench 90 pounds 20 times too, doesn't mean I can bench 150.

Couldn't go 60"?

Further proving Pacioretty is a bust.

Anyway, it is impressive but not earth shattering. It's something you'd see in someone athletic but obviously not necessarily a common forte of all athletes.

Oh, dunking is quite possible.

But a head above the rim requires quite the height and athleticism.

Do not try this at home kids.

EDIT: I also regret having my volume on relatively loud with people around...

It's still impressive when someone jumps to a shoulder height without any momentum.
Expected or not, it's impressive.

According to this site, the world record was 56'', although I have a hard time believing this is indeed the record just like I'm sure you do.<

I wouldn't go as far as to say I expect MaxPac and every 6'2 athlete to box jump 57''.

In an article, he said he worked out hard this summer and put on 10 pounds of muscle.

Any time there's ever a topic about an athlete doing something moderately impressive in terms of athletics, weight training, etc, it seems like there's always at least one poster who can do it in his sleep. Visit the HFboards combine threads for proof of this, they're a cesspool.

Difference in that video and in the Max Pac video, is that the 56 inch guy, he takes steps before jumping so he already has a momentum. MP is stable before he jumps so he gets normal impulsion, that is even harder to do than when you have momentum. When I coach volleyball I always want to see how high the player can jump without momentum.
