Dale Weise On Internet Radio Tonight 9/1 8 PM

I think a lot of us are rooting for Dale to make the team this year, even though the Rangers keep adding more players it seems everyday vying for roster spots.

Should be a good interview. Hope you will tune in.

Show starts at 8 PM

gotta drop the voice, makes my skin crawl. its flat out awkward; completely ineffective device to maintain a loyal base of followers.

as for weise, he'll need another great camp just to maintain momentum. he's capable.

agreed. saw you being interviewed at an event somewhere for NYR. you were talking in your normal voice. I like that voice better. other than that...keep up the good work.

+normal or more normal voice. i can understand the need to have a schtick

I'm curious how Weise feels about going from having a decent chance to having to have to claw past Todd White, Brian Boyle, Tim Kennedy, Prust, MZA, etc to make this team. I feel like the Rangers do this every time. At least we are getting the ilk of overage Brent Fedyks anymore.

Agree as well. Tuned in once last season and haven't been back since.

I enjoy your posts, and id love to listen to your interviews, but the voice kills me too

I'm sure there are plenty of people either like it, or dont care. Hell, id rather remove my tonsils with an egg beater than listen to Jenerette, doesnt stop him from being liked

you don't come back over the top by rejecting constructive criticism. you're an amateur in every sense.

You know what is funny? Mouth and Jimmy do more then NHL network or MSG as far as getting the fans involved, listening to them and getting current and former Rangers to answer questions and a feel for what they want. A few people on here need to feel important or tough or something by going after mouth. Do all us a favor if you don't like it don't listen or comment. We don't go to your 9-5 boring jobs and tell you how to deliver your pizzas. Go up guys jist because your not part of it doesn't mean you have to be mean to the people who are trying.

No, I was being serious, I am going to drop the voice. because I want every ranger fan possible to listen to the show.

I want this to be an all inclusive Ranger fan program. I want as many listeners as possible. even if I have to speak in my regular voice to get them there.

I'm down for it.

But we have all told him that and he keeps doing it. He used to be even worse, where it sounded like a lovechild of Stan Fischler and Gilbert Godfreed.

I would most likely watch the show if it weren't for the hammy shtick.

Just read the thread... I will watch now! I think The Mouth is full of wit and good, entertaining sports journalism. I think the passion that obviously goes into it would be as conveyable/captivating without that gimmick.

I think 1K viewers could easily be 1M if we keep it real.

Not anything anyone else hasn't heard.

I talked to Dale and he said he is heading out for training camp Saturday, lets hope we can get him back on.

But if we can't that's a good thing. Because that means he made the team !

I appreciate all the feedback fellas.

i think it takes guts to handle criticism like you just did. I'll definitely be listening to the next show. as will my brother. I told him you're dropping the voice, and now he wants to give your show another go around.

but don't lose the humor aspect. I did find some of your comments to be rather witty at times.

I don't think you should drop it completely. You could alienate fans who actually enjoy it. Just tone it down maybe. It kind of makes me think of a cartoon voice character rather than a quirky news journalist. I dunno if you were trying to do a satirized version of those old black and white news reel announcers?

If i were delivering that pizza to you and you didnt like the way I was doing it I'm sure you'd express your disapproval or not order from me anymore. It's not like these people aren't giving him a listen, they're just stating what may keep them from listening again. There will always be a group of people who dislike it if he uses the voice, as well as a group who dislike it if he stops using it. Either way if he can't handle criticism he needs to find another gig.
