i've been holding off ordering up a leighton jersey for this coming season to wear for game nites, but knowing my luk just as soon as i have it ordered/made Homer will announce a godam signing/trade involving Leights. hahaah...

i'm going to hold off a bit longer but im starting to feel like Leights is actualy gunan get handed teh reigns to start the season..looking forward to it...

It's been clear ever since Leighton was re-signed that he's the goalie for next year.

As for who's left, the only option left for a starter is Theodore. Everyone else is gone by now.

we are looking at history; this could be the first Leighton jersey ever sold.

I'm pretty sure it has to be custom made. I doubt they're rolling them off the assembly line... and if they are god help us all.

considering the Canucks are my local team, i'm not really worried..

i've always worn my Orange and Black to the Flyers games when they come here..

in fact i've always been surprized at just how many other Philly jerseys there are in the stands at a Canucks game..

I made a pact with myself that I will never buy the jersey of a Flyers goaltender until we win a Cup. Three times was enough. The revolving door is not worth the trouble.

When I lived in Vancity - I wore my Orange and Black. Loved it.

My thoughts on the safety is, if you like the player, then it's safe.
I got a Clarke jersey, so mine is safe in other ways.....

I say giv'er.

Buy what you want. It's your jersey.

I've been contemplating whether or not myself to get a Carcillo one, hell if I know if he's still here next year, even if he is still an RFA. My other options are JvR and Giroux. Already have a Richards WC jersey shirt, and for some reason I absolutely don't want a pronger one it just makes me feel like a bandwagoner. Even though he's essentially stuck with the flyers for the next 6 seasons... unless another GM wants to take on his 5m/yr 35+ .

Heh. I was just teasin'.

Nice to see another Vancouver Flyers fan on the boards. There are a lot of us out here, that's for sure.

I always go decked out to Flyers/Canucks games, too. The fans here a re pretty tame, especially since we've been on the happy side of the decision in Vancouver every time since 1989.

Yeah I've been thinking about a Carcillo jersey too. My worry is he won't stick around. My Forsberg jersey was a lesson in that respect.

VanBeisbrouck, Niittymaki, and Biron. The Beezer one was an Xmas gift.

Tell that to my Gagne jersey... (edit: which I had already for three years, but still...)

On topic: Now's a good as any time to buy a Leighton jersey IMO. He will be the starter at the start of the season. It remains to be seen for how long.

Buy one, buy a Stanley Cup Finals patch, sew it on, buy a Stanley Cup Finals puck, sew it between your crotch and paint a red line on your butt so it looks as though a puck is constantly squirting through your legs for a soft goal.

my Leclair jersey only gets pulled out for Big F***ing Occasions. I've got a blank third jersey from 03 or thereabouts that I'm considering putting a name on, but I can't decide on Gagne or Richards.

Last Flyers jersey purchase was the year Carter and Richards were both rookies ... went with Richards, which looks like a good call in terms of longevity of use.

At least if one of them was Boucher you could un-retire it. I've had that happen with a few jerseys, a nice little extra perk when they bring back a guy you liked.
