I scored with a French chick once, true story. A nice feat for me since I live in Ontario.

Louie Lolbust And the media wonders why French players for the most part don't sign in Montreal when they are UFA when stories like this make the news.

We're talking pre-season, not the season!

After the frontpage news that he got an assist on an empty net in his first preseason game, RDS is now reporting that he didn't score in his second preseason game...

This is ridiculous. Way to mount the pressure on the kid RDS... It's not even the regular season yet and he makes the headlines... when he doesn't score? What's next? "Leblanc prend sa première dou.che dans le vestiaire du Junior"? "Leblanc a un dégagement refusé"?

Atleast I guess he will be used to the Montréal media machine by the time he turns pro, that is if he does turn pro and doesn't crumble under the massive pressure being put on him already.
So what's worse, RDS reporting it or you starting a thread about it?

Personally I like to hear how our top prospects are doing, I was happy when TSN reported on how he was doing at the Canadian Juniors camp (BTW nobody complained then about TSN reporting on a meaningless scrimmage). I am happy that RDS is telling me how he is doing in the Q and hope they continue.

It's even worse! It means he's facing weaker competition and STILL can't score. The guy just has no offensive touch. I hope he's good without the puck. Gauthier

1. What do you mean by front page news? You give their developers far too much credit here. There is no front page news on rds.ca. It's a random feed of sports news and the one that's on top gets displayed.

2. If you go in the QJMHL section you get a lot of front page news like this one.

3. Wait... What do you mean by Leblanc didn't "score" ?

I don't know what is worse. The fact that this is a non-story or that there are 57 posts now in this thread.

I'm not sure if your avatar is actually moving or if I'm overdosing on caffeine.

the attention that folks like you (~50 posts above) give to this kind of non-story is what prompts media outlets like RDS to write it in the first place.

the best thing to do is to NOT READ IT; but if you can't resist, then DO NOT RESPOND to it!

It's time the fans just accept Lebust as another 1st round Timmins disaster.

New coach, new team, new league. He's a rookie in almost every sense of the word. He'll need time to adapt.

It's the same thing with Eklund. People keep bashing him, but they won't stop reading what he writes.

I agree that this will be a pain. Will likely have an article on every single one of his games until the real Habs season start. Then it will only be when he scores a goal. Or an assist. Or makes a hit.
Well if they want to give us say Connelly or Hedman... Sure!

If you're a future millionaire who can't score in Verdun at nighttime, you aren't the player I want on my team.

Probably why he didn't score. Although I don't think he was thrown out.

Imo he's gonna be the Chris Higgins that keeps missing open nets.
