Love Pleky but in order to take the next step he needs to be efficient in the playoffs. He was "just another guy" in the playoffs but for him to be called elite he needs to be more then that in the post season offensively*, i know how good he was defensively and who he played against but I would still like to see some more offensive support from him come spring time.
Every team he faced in the playoffs was better than the Habs. I loved the way he showed up Théodore.
Who by the way IMO is still one of the most underrated players in the NHL.
I went to look at where he ranked in the NHL for assists last season, because I remembered him being pretty high up the list at parts of the year, and was surprised to see that both him and Gomez were in the top 30. They were also both in the top 15 for centres. Not sure that a lot of people are aware of that. The only other teams with 2 centres in the top 15 for assists are Vancouver and Pittsburgh.
I love Plek for his versatile play, he's as much of a defensive player than than an offensive one and he's a much of a goal scorer than a passer and he's lightning fast. but he realy needs to get going in the PO. He's never been up to the challenge in terms of offensive. Even if this last PO he got better.
