This is good, although I'd actually rework your 3rd & 4th lines into this:

Parse / Handzus / Simmonds
Clifford / Schenn / Richardson

IIRC, Parse is one of those guys who cries if he cannot play his natural wing position (LW). Meanwhile, with two rookies on the 4th line, you want someone who doesn't take shifts off. Richardson plays all-out, all the time, and thus is a superior influence on rookies than is Parse. Also (IIRC), Richardson has no problem playing any of the 3 wing positions (LW, C, RW), unlike certain persons named Parse.

Sorry for all the Parse bashing, but (for me, anyway) he's going to be the Kings whipping boy for the 2010-11 season.....

Smyth-Kopitar-Williams
Poni-Stoll-Brown
Parse-Handzus-Simmonds
Clune-Richardson-Westgarth/Lewis

Scuderi-Doughty
JJ-Mitchell
Fransson-Drewiskie

Fransson makes the most sense to me due to his pro experience in the SEL. I see a lot of people penciling in Schenn and Clifford but I'd love to see them dominate Jr. including WJ for Canada, (Go USA). Moller and Loktionov could probably use another year in the AHL and this is Lewis last shot.

Unfortunately, it doesn't matter who's on our 4th line because Murray will only give them 3-4 shifts in the 1st period, 2 shifts in the 2nd and will sit on the bench for the rest of the game. If Schenn is going to center this line, I'd assume that Murray would just pencil him in to play with either Zues/Simmonds or Stoll/Brown and splitting time between Richardson/Parse (??) That's just my assumption . . .

I love Moller but I really do think this is his last year of being "valuable" as a trade piece. I hate to say that because I want this kid on the team so bad but he's just not big enough . . . and he doesn't have that experience at center that Loktionov has . . . iunno, my opinion

My god we are spoiled. Teams like the Devils allow kids to spend 3-4 years in the AHL before they get called up and we're ready to give up on Moller after two years. Moller is fine.

I still think that Moller has a good shot at making the NHL and having a solid career. To give up on him now would be a waste of time money and effort on our part and in my opinion, very unlikely. I feel the same way about Colton too though.

Well I surprised most have Poni penciled in as the 2LW. They originally said he'd be with Hand and Simm, but what are the options really? I honestly think Parse can be the "2LW" just cuz his get in the slot and catch-n-shoot mentality...even though it seems our #2 and #3 lines are more like 2a and 2b...(or3a 3b =/) So my guess is....

Smyth Kopitar Williams
Parse Stoll Brown
Poni Handzus Simmonds
Richardson Schenn Clifford then Westgarth

Doughty Scuderi
Johnson Mitchell
Greene (Rooks)
Harrold

Pretty balanced lines f you asked me, which is what we need without true gamebreakers. More lines the other team has to worry about the better.

in goal: Quick (Bernier backing up, although I think JB will be the #1 by spring)

Defense: Mitchell Doughty
Johnson Franson
Hickey Scuderi (Hickey would thrive w/ Scuds)

Smyth Kopitar Williams
Poni Stoll Brown
Richardson Handzus Simmmonds (our REAL 2nd line)
Parse Cliche Westgarth

The 4th line is tough. Lots of guys who could potentially play there.

Schenn
Richardson
Moller
Cliche
Clifford
Parse
Clune
Westgarth
Harrold (if used as a 4th line center)
Lewis
Elkins

I really think it will come down to Clune, Parse, Cliche, Schenn, Clifford and Westgarth for the 4th line.

I wouldn't discount Harrold. He's not spectacular at anything, but he's cheap and versatile. Harrold is the epitome of a utility player.

That's opening day. When Greene is back, he takes over for Drewiske and DD2 moves to 7th d. The 13th forward gets sent down once Greene is back and Harrold takes that spot. Stoll is traded for something.

And Lewis has a chance too, although I'm not expecting him to make the team. I think next year will be his year.

I don't think Justin Williams should just receive that first line spot for really not doing anything. I was pulling for Justin to get it together all year, but it really never came around.. Therefore, Simmonds gets that spot. Moller is a better player than Scott Parse and Schenn can move to the wing and play (and also learn) alot with Michal Handzus. Really really like the fourth line.. I like the sound of Clifford-Schenn on the same unit with Richardson, but at the same time I don't how good of a move that would be putting two super young prospects on the same line, so I moved Justin down there and I think that line could be a fantastic energy unit.

It's not that I don't like Stoll but to me it's moreso that I think Schenn makes the team as 2nd line center. Anyone who thinks he's 4th line center can GTFO. That's a waste of development. I want Zus over Stoll

He's not particularly good at anything either, except his savior, versitility. We need to stop kidding ourselves, and send the true second tier players to the minors if we really want to be a championship club.

Don't understand all the Stoll hate... the guys an excellent 2-way C. Had he played 82 games he would've put up 50+ points. He did this while dealing with his arthritis as well. What more do you want from a 2nd line C? I expect him to take Handzus' spot after next season as the 3rd line C, if Schenn can handle 2nd line duties. I feel like all the hate towards him is coming from his PP duty taking shots from the point, and missing quite a bit...TM put him there, not Stoll himself.

I rather following a team with a real chance to the cup
and players who are able to make this happen..................

than a guy who is given all icetime in the world but instead practicing to get better
playing a clown at "the price is right"

We have a history of these guys............

Sometimes i think the 17 years of helpless management and losing created a losing mentality so everyone cheers now for top 6 guys who are waived by NHL bottom feeder clubs.
