Imo he's gonna be the Chris Higgins that keeps missing open nets.
That was the Chris Higgins who gave a damn. The other Higgins didn't even get in position for open nets.

Hey man, I appreciate the vote of confidence but I have a job, and I'm in Nova Scotia. I don't think I'm right for the position.

This is ridiculous. Way to mount the pressure on the kid RDS... It's not even the regular season yet and he makes the headlines... when he doesn't score? What's next? "Leblanc prend sa première dou.che dans le vestiaire du Junior"? "Leblanc a un dégagement refusé"?

Atleast I guess he will be used to the Montréal media machine by the time he turns pro, that is if he does turn pro and doesn't crumble under the massive pressure being put on him already.
After the 10 pages long thread to report that Leblanc got an assist on an empty net in his first preseason game, the posters on HF Boards are now making a 4 pages long thread to discuss the fact that he didn't score in his second preseason game...

Probably why he didn't score. Although I don't think he was thrown out.
Leblanc didn't even drop the gloves... In fact, Leblanc didn't even receive a stick in the face, he slashed Beaupré!

This journalist gave Leblanc the 3rd star in this game instead of Val D'Or goalie who made 39 saves in the game.

If you want an advice, don't read this "journalist" if you want objective news from Leblanc... I think he's just in love with Leblanc...

Of course we understood the post. What we are saying is that as Montreal Canadiens fans, who can say whatever we want, whenever we want on this website, what we say doesn't really have that much power. To compare a news outlet that all of quebec trusts as being the end all be all of sports news, to this hockey forum, is pretty ridiculous. All we are doing, for the most part, is making fun of a sports station for following every move of a single player's development as if he's the second coming of Beliveau. At least that's what I'm doing anyway.

Well, you criticize a media who gives to much exposure to a player, but you're guilty of doing the same thing. If you don't care too much about every Leblanc's preseason game, why don't you just... ignore it?

And unless I'm wrong, I think that RDS, as a news outlet, can say whatever they want, whenever they want on their website. It's called "free speech". This is not your exclusive right. Ignore it if you don't like it.

Listen, the point of all this is that if there are media mediums out there that may have a chance of affecting Louis Leblanc's play in the future, this hockey forum is definitely not one of them. Therefore, lumping HF boards in with actual sports news networks is well, kind of senseless.

LOUIS LEBLANC DOES NOT AND WILL NEVER READ THESE BOARDS, SO WE DON'T NEED TO THINK ABOUT HAVING PROFESSIONAL INTEGRITY. RDS SHOULD KNOW BETTER!

Oh I see. So a few articles well hidden on the RDS website about his junior games is what gonna make the difference in Louis Leblanc's NHL career? Not his skills, talent, efforts, training, mental toughness, experience, coaches, etc. It's all about a few RDS articles. I didn't know they had such power!
