Thats one less thing Powe does not bring to the table that Carcillo does. Creating powerplays. As much as you may hate it, it still puts the team on the advantage. I dont know the exact stat, but Carcillo drew more penalties then he took last year.

I personally think Shelly is good enough to play the 4th line by himself. Waive Powe and Carcillo, so when can sign a practice dummy to keep Shelly happy.

This, although JvR-Richards-Giroux might work too. Problem is this then gives the Carter line as such...Carcillo-Carter-Zherdev, unless Zherdev has changed his style of play and is totally committed to defense it would be brutal to watch, no matter how good people think Carter is defensively.

I agree, it is the quandry that Laviolette is going to have at this point. I like JvR-Richards-Giroux over Zherdev-Richards-Giroux, but then it creates line problems on down the roster.

How is Zherdev winning when he is a right wing? Hartnell should be added. I could see him winning this poll if he was an option.

IMO it's a waste to put playmakers with carter for how much better he is when he's carrying the puck a lot. i'll be curious to see the current proposed lines as well.
Totally agree. "playmakers" won't see the puck on carters line. Ever. Doesn't matter if carter is a "sniper" he always needs the puck on his stick. He doesn't have a one timer, and nothing in terms of a slapshot.

Too many people play NHL to think that you can match players like Giroux and Carter together

I would go with Carcillo because if he has to play in the top 9 I think he would be most succesful with Richards.

We need a runoff vote between Zherdev and JVR.

JVR - Richards - Zerdev - JVR looks poised and a big body could do damage, more skilled than Carbomb.

Carcillo - Carter - Giroux - maybe carcillo can provide some room out there with his all out approach? Or have Giroux play Center and Carter play wing, game is more suited there....

Hartnell - Briere - Lieno - nuff said

Shelly/Powe - Betts - Lappy. - A GREAT 4th line either way you slice it.

-----
Pronger - Carle

Timmo - Coburn

Mez - O'Donell / Walker
