from CBGB twitter:

Source in Brandon says Brayden Schenn re-injured knee - Severity TBD

To be honest, of course that isn't good news, but on the other hand, I'd rather it be Schenn than Kopitar/Doughty/Brown, etc.

All things considered, it could have been much worse.

On a side note, what is with our prospects? Are they made of glass?

Yep, could force Schenn to stay down another year, though, for better or for worse, depending on the severity.

Like ScoreZeGoals said though, what is with our prospects??

This was my question, too. CBGB said he "re-injured" his knee, but I don't recall any previous knee injury.

I appreciate M. Barry's info, he does throw names out in his hockeybuzz blog.

BTW, Matt, I've seen you out and about a few times, I will introduce myself to you next time I see you.

I didn't. I believe this was your point (or rather, an example of it):

They are just feigning injury so that they don't have to play AGAINST a hungry Clifford in camp.

Pffft not in Los Angeles! The air sucks here

And the Schenn injury sucks, but assuming he were to play the 4th line only, it doesn't hurt us that much. However, I think he would get some extra minutes with better players if he did make it though, can't see him being here to play 7 minutes a night. I just hope it does not turn into a chronic problem.

You can try that "I'm in show business" crap with someone else. I, like most Kings fans, am from LA. Being in the "business" just means people are going to think you're a d-ck. Acting like a d-ck just reinforces the stereotype.

You're the Kings equivalent to:

Honestly man you really need to do some self-evaluation. You spent days jumping up and down claiming secret big time inside information or how "tomorrow was going to have bad news" and what happens? Schenn turns out to still be injured?

That's it? All that hype and pretense for that?

You're not interesting enough to piss anyone off. You're just a guy who gets the newbies all excited about nothing. The Kings don't need our own Eklund...

If you want to be legit be professional. Be like Hammond. Pass along something that matters and without the pretense. Otherwise all you do is lose credibility.

Really? Seems like I touched a nerve with someone... I mean, your tone certainly feels angry. If I didn't bother you, you wouldn't reply. But obviously I do bother you otherwise you would have posted the following:

In anyone's book... that's "bad news". I didn't say "REALLY bad news", just "Bad news". Losing Schenn is "bad news".

I tried being "professional". I didn't like it. I like being me and what I do. If you don't, HIT THE IGNORE BUTTON. Be like Hammond? WHY? So that there's TWO people reporting the SAME THING? Passing along that Greene is out or Schenn is out or that Mitchell has signed DOESN'T MATTER?

Lose credibility? Oh no! Not that! Sorry Charlie, I may be arrogant, I may be obnoxious, but I do provide a good amount of information as well as entertainment. If you don't like it... well, you know what to do. But if you're replying, it means a) you like it or b) I piss you off so much that you have to reply.

And now can you grace us with the reason why this couldn't be posted yesterday? Why must you release your "information" in cryptic posts?

Looks like CBGB had the scoop on another injury yet again. The Kings have confirmed the injury, but the extent of it is unknown yet.

According to the Kings, prospect Brayden Schenn suffered a knee injury during a training session in Canada. Schenn is headed to Los Angeles for an MRI tomorrow, and at the moment there is no timetable for his return to the ice. Schenn recently completed training camp with his junior team, the Brandon Wheat Kings, but it’s unknown whether he was hurt on or off the ice. More updates tomorrow…

Why would everyone hate on Matt if not for jealousy? Seriously, he does nothing wrong. In fact, he's our most credible poster here. I laugh every time I see him get people worked up. I for one enjoy it.
