top 100 swedish prospects

In 2004 Johan Nilsson (from elite prospects) did a ranking of the top 100 swedish prospects, its pretty fun to see how the players where regarded back then.

How would a top 100 ranking look today? I think its fairly safe to say that Sweden produces a lot better talents in this day and age.

44. Mattias Wennerberg F 1981-08-06 Chicago

I've taken a slapper to the groin by him back when I was active. He was great, but I think injuries hindered his progress, although he did play in the SEL and he captained the u-20 national team at one point.

Us Swedes should vote like many of the teams have done on their respective boards, first vote for the #1 prospect etc. etc.

I don't know how to do it so Oiler fans don't come in here voting and trying to convince us that Pjrvi is the best prospect since sliced bread, though.

I love looking back at those old rankings I (and other EP staff members did), really shows how much can happen... with so called "can't miss prospects" etc.

I actually might do a list here for fun any day. Would be pretty interesting.. just to see the current depth, I guess.

That list just shows that even making a top50 is a stretch
