Curious if that means the 3rds (black and blue) will stay the 3rds and they won't unveil a white jersey or if we'll see the 3rds become our new home jerseys and it will be a year before any new jersey is released. I believe the thought was the black and blue would be our "new" home jersey this year. I hope we at least get that out of all this.
I was curious to see what the new ones would look like. How they would phase the blue out to put in white, would the checkerboards be black and white or white and blue?

It means they're holding off a year until they make the 3rds the new home
considering they repainted the inside of the arena to reflect the black and blue them, i'm a little curious about this
There are deadlines that need to be met for league approval of any uniform changes due to merchandising and licensing considerations. I haven’t seen what the deadline is recently, but IIRC, it was generally around the end of March of the previous season.
Wouldn’t doubt that whatever changes have been discussed didn’t meet the necessary time frame to get league approval and were pushed back a year…
Doesnt say much about it. What about the draft hats, paint inside the arena, and the Preds website? Plus didnt someone say that the people at the Preds shop say they arent making our current away and home jerseys anymore?
Well, that last jerseys that were seen were both the old ones.
Lombardi and others got the old darks at the press conference.
Watson and co got the old white one at the draft.
But everything new on the website has been changed.
Im REALLY curious to see what logo shows up on center ice.
I'm okay with them changing if they want, but I still like our regular homes. The thirds are fun but, to be totally honest, the solid blue thing never did much for me. I still like the blue/silver/yellow of the regular homes.
i've never been a fan of the current home...it's too busy...feels like an arena football jersey being in the NFL. I also don't like the "short sleeves" with the lower half being white. New third is much cleaner, more modern. Doesn't seem so 90s.
A pretty reliable source told me that the new CEO decided to keep the main logo and home uniforms as they have been. He was quoted as saying he wanted to "look out into the arena and notice a sea of yellow". That does make the choice of painting a white color over what was there rather strange, but that's what I heard. Imo, the new 3rd design and color scheme really looks great, and would work as a white road uni as well. Since the opener (just 4 weeks from tonight!!) will be a Saturday night, I wonder if they will start in the "Saturday Night Specials"???
I'm right there with you. The new ones, current home and away (not 3rd), look like a revamp version of the Tron attire. I like the 3rd though and I love the mustards. The mustards with the skeleton predhead (not cartoon head) on front would have been better, but the NHL deemed that too spooky and only allowable (skeleton predhead) on the shoulder not as front center focus.
