Me: "Yeah. I'm surprised you know who they are." (hockey is virtually nonexistent in my part of KY). "Let me guess. You're a Pens fan and you love Crosby?"

Her: "Yes! Of course! I watch them all the time and I LOVE Crobsy.

Me: "I really like Talbot, but that's about it," (just to get a reaction).

Her: "Yeah, he's pretty good......."

She tried to play it cool, but it was written all over her face.
If I ever got with a Penguins fan it would be the angriest sex the world has ever seen.

I despise that entire organization and fanbase, makes me nauseous.

Nice job baiting her into looking like an idiot, though, touche.

I'm leaving 13 minutes early. **** it. I have been deep into documents all day, and have hit a wall where my brain is fried and won't go any further. So I'm going home now. Left 4 Dead 2, mindless zombie shooting time.

I'm 23 and I've probably had about 6 jobs since I was 14 and I've never had the ability to just screw around on a computer.

As someone who is currently in this situation, it's not all ya think it's cracked up to be. It's nice on days where you are tired, but most of the time it just makes the day feel longer. I would rather be doing something relatively challenging, then trying to find ways to make the time pass.

If I have a computer in front of me where I can screw around, the day can feel as long as it wants. I'd rather not have a long day of just standing around doing nothing.

I don't think I could ever date a Pens fan. Just too many philosophical differences. I'm sure some of you are saying how does it get beyond the team, but I think it would be pretty easy to do in this case.

I feel like the Flyers well embody the attitude in this area and that, if nothing else, the chick wouldn't be able to understand it. The only possibility would be if she's been a fan her whole life, but it seems I'm more likely to find a pig that can fly and refuses to play in **** when not in the air.

Fair enough, I'm sure if I couldn't sit on the computer I would want to.

I used to. I liked it there until they rearranged my department, so I left after attempts to transfer to other departments failed.

My brother still works there. Are you my brother?

That annoys the **** out of me.

I was at the first Red Sox game when ManRam came back and I got up and cheered him out of principal because all the Red Sox bandwagoners were booing him. I mean, do you remember how miserable your sports life was before 2004? No, of course you don't, because you weren't even a fan then.

Chase Utley could kill my cat and burn down my house and I'd still try to buy him a beer.

Did Chase really marry a cat person? I mean, I'm a cat person, but I know it's kind of weird.

I don't know that she's cat person per se, but she is super involved with the Philly SPCA.

Oh yeah, me too. I understand if you are legitimately getting into something and have yet to do much historical research on it. That's fine. I had to do that myself because hockey is pretty foreign in Kentucky. But don't claim your diehard fandom and then know little to nothing more than the average SportsCenter viewer.

Slow saturday morning in the off-season and I'm reading the Pronger trade thread on the Trade Board from a bit more than a year ago, which is quite hilarious because pretty much everybody, including some Flyers fans, were instantly condemning the trade as "horrible" etc.
