MFC 26 - This Friday on HDnet

MFC 26 - Retribution

Live on HDnet this Friday night (Sept. 10th)

I'm not sure how many of you guys watch MFC, if you haven't you should. Generally speaking, their events are usually pretty exciting. This one is especially exciting (for myself anyways) as it marks the return of Ryan Ford, a very promising young fighter.

Full fight card here:

Already set the PVR, should be a pretty decent card.

Also if you've got some money burning a hole in your pocket and need more B-league action this weekend, SHARK FIGHTS has you covered for Saturday:

Quote:
MAIN CARD

* Champ Trevor Prangley vs. Keith Jardine (light-heavyweight non-title fight)
* Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou vs. Houston Alexander
* Paul Daley vs. Jorge Masvidal
* Danillo Villefort vs. Joey Villasanor
* Brock Larson vs. Tarec Saffiedine

PRELIMINARY CARD

* Champ Douglas Evans vs. Ronnie Mann (featherweight title fight)
* Paul Bradley vs. Johnny Reese
* Aaron Rosa vs. Devin Cole
* Karen Darabedyan vs. Daniel Straus
* Eric Davila vs. Pete Spratt
The prelims are going to stream on Sherdog, Doug Evans (guy who had a brief stint in the UFC, most notably vs Huerta) vs Ronnie Mann (Sengoku FWGP participant, lost to Hioki) should be a good one. The PPV is $30 or something, which seems a little high, but it's definitely a solid card. Also it's being commentated by Bas and Don ****ing Frye, which can't fail to be great.

Sadly I'll be out of town so I can't catch it.

Easily the best card the MFC has ever had.

Agreed, very good action. Probably the worst reffing I've ever seen on a card either, it seemed like every fight there was something being screwed up.

Like during the Heath fight where poor King was being beat on for no reason? That ref out Lavigned Lavigne.

That cut was BAAAAAAAAAAD!! Wow.

Kinda glad Ford lost again. He and Hector Lombard are both guys that fight exciting fights, but aren't stepping up in competition like they should.

That cut was one of the worst I've seen. Little more than I'd like to see in HD, that's for sure.

Ford looks the part but he's still really limited. I like watching him fight but he's got a ways to go.

3 of the fights had horrible reffing at the end, a couple guys took beatings for much longer than they should've.

Another solid event by MFC.

I heard the owner hinting at a 205 title match between Ryan Jimmo and a yet to be named opponent at the next event, WAR Jimmo. I think they were planning on doing a Leites/Watson MW title fight but JT Money screwed that up, not sure where they go with Leites now.

They are still looking for his eyebrows. McKee's elbows scraped them off.

They should, they generally replay all events for a few weeks after.

The bad news, they all go by "HDnet Fights", so you'll have to search that out and go through them 1 by 1 to see if MFC 26 is there.

I searched HDNet Fights this morning (before I read this, we're on the same wavelength apparently), nothing for MFC 26 on there in the upcoming 2 weeks. Boo. Lots of DREAM though.

That's rough.

Come to think of it, I don't remember seeing too many re-airs of MFC events to tell you the truth. They always replay the Sengoku/Dream/XFC events, but rarely replay the KOTCH/MFC events.

There might be something in the contract with those 2 organizations that doesn't allow for replays. It seems strange.

Maybe go the youtube route...

Ford/Lima, McKee/Azevedo and Heath/TeamDaggerMember2 are all fights worth watching, IMO.
