It would be nice to mix up it up every once in a while... I wouldn't be surprised if its been about 10 years.
You are correct, last time we opened the season at home was in the 1999-2000 season.

ahhh, everywhere coke, that was epic, the vinyl version and I had quite the hand in getting that banned, coolasprice started, talking about getting theodore in trouble, and it all stemmed from there, in about an hour, we had a ton of pics, referencing everywhere white powder, went a little too far, and the rest is history, it was definitely interesting to see some of the pics people came up with, it was the best thread i had seen in a long time, but it wasnt to be

Does anyone remember the name of that particular thread.

Or perhaps it's been removed from the archives?

Quite funny if you'd seen the thing from ground zero.
Ahh. Yeah I was around for that but I guess I didn't realize that's what the Queen was for

I wonder if old Ron will have any Comic Sans notes for us this time around

maybe

*made it to the conference finals while defeating two of the best teams in the league
*stellar depth down the middle this year
*two offensive dynamos on defense
*budding superstar goalie taking the reigns
*3rd line centre is better than our first line centre
*5'9 Cammalleri had more goals in the playoffs than all but one of our players had all year

etc....

Wow...He's reading it from the Leafs point of view. Eller is better than Tyler Bozak and Cammalleri scored more goals than everyone on the Leafs but Kessel.

What has Eller done to prove he is better than Bozak?

P.S. Captains fight at centre ice right after the opening faceoff?

I thought I would bump this thread as the season opener is in a few day. Hopefully the Habs have Cammelleri for the game. It's already going to be difficult without Markov and Hamrlik on defence.

Go Habs Go!!

What has Bozak done to prove anything? That he was on pace to be a mediocre first line center after playing half a season?

No Cammy, no Markov, no Hamrlik... Potentially no Price.

Doesn't really matter. We could ice an all-star team and the Leafs would still find a way to make it interesting. This might temper expectations.
