Probably separated quickly, judging by the description (Daily News' Twitter).

Zac Rinaldo just fought Trevor Bruess... If you can call it that. They dropped the gloves. Some dirty dancing and that's it

I think he assisted on the second goal. I'm following via Twitter.

1:16 remain in the third....Washington up 4-3.

Edit: FINAL.

We haven't even started training camp yet and already we give up 5 mins too early. How is that possible. I kid of course.

Frank sounded high on Testwuide, Harper, Bourdon and Gustafsson from the little I gleaned.

I think our Rookies are doing particularly well considering everyone here thinks that our farm system is horrendous

This game is definitely a justification of us having a great farm system.

For sure.

So what's the final word on Bob's day? I'm sure he didn't let in all 4 goals right?

Well considering some said we were gonna get like 6-0 'd by these guys, I think it goes to show we dont have the worse in the league (which yes, people have said)

Well, his first goal he let in was odd. He probablly should have easily saved it but it trickled in barely. His second goal was a screen slap shot from the point which he couldnt see. DNFlyers said he looked nervous but played well overall. They played him 2 periods instead of 1. If I had to take a guess, he saved probablly around 22 shots in 2 periods.

Heres something interesting...

Just had a nice long chat with Sergei Bobrovsky of the #Flyers. He says he is ready for the NHL.

EDIT:

Bobrovsky allowed 2 goals on 30 shots. Like I said, I will post a shot chart later.
30 shots in 2 periods...damn...if he stayed in all game he probablly would have seen around 45 ish...damnn

Basing anything on a single preseason game when these guys are still practically in summer mode is pretty irrational IMO.

Well I was on the side saying we didnt have the worse, so I wasnt basing it off of just preseason. We dont have any blue chip prospects, thats a given, but we have some players that, if they can continue their pace/ overachieve alittle, they might be solid NHLers. Like I said though, no sure top 6 guys, but guys who have the talent but have yet to use it fully.

Quick blog post up about Mike Testwuide's debut. IMO, he was the best Flyer on the ice. Plus some nuggets.

Good to hear about Testwuide. I don't think he ever develops into a scorer for us, but I think he has a very real chance of being a big-bodied, two-way bottom six guy for us.

Also great to hear about Bobrovsky. Kind of crazy that the only two prospects we have with relatively high ceilings are two goalies.

Still pissed off I couldn't watch though. I was really excited to see Bobro in action.

Cap's fan here...anyone seen a box score for the game somewhere out here on the interwebs?

thought it would be a close game....fyi the only player in that game for us that has a chance of making the caps is Marcus Johansson...and from the sounds of things it's a great chance. We need a 2C and apparently...GMGM thinks he is it.

among the rookies we had playing...Cody Eakin and Marcus Johansson will both get invites to training camp with probably just Johansson making the team. He's got fight for the 2C/3C spot with about 4 other guys....Eakin can't play in the AHL...so most likely he is going back to his junior team and not staying with the caps. From the sounds of things your goalie did real well....glad to see you guys having some young talent to work with.
