Spezza doesn't seem like someone DL would trade for.
For what reasons?
This is why I don't think Lombardi is ever going to accomplish anything. I can understand if you want your players to have their screws on tight but I mean c'mon, Spezza might be a little soft but he's an excellent hockey player. Dean is going to let his prejudice player selection stand in the way of success.
If a major deal happens between LA and Ottawa in the next month, I will make a post talking about how big of an idiot now (that will be 750 words) and will delete my account and never be heard from again.
This hockeybuzz nonsense is such drivel that it actually heightens my blood pressure when you guys post these rumors. Sure, "don't click it!", but even seeing it on the forums offends me as a hockey knowledgeable individiual.
If you do not believe the hockeybuzz "rumours" then DON'T post them on these boards, you are giving them free publicity. STOP. You are just as bad as them. Actually you are worse because you aren't even profiting from these additional page views.

+1 Hockeybuzz needs to be banned we shouldn't be generating that moron money in my opinion.

I feel the same way... The fact that an endless supply of gullible hockey fans are flocking to this website just because they can't find any legitimate hockey rumors anywhere else, just really ruffles my feathers... All they do is promote and encourage this nonsense from the website to persist...
I agree I mean when gullible hockey fans go to a website and read what has been *rumored* to be happening and then go to another completely different sight and bag on those other hockey fans well, it just gets my goat and ya know what? I really really loved that goat. I mean when he was born I was the one who raised him, fed him and taught him right from wrong and now some other hockey fans just came and got him right out from under me.
nonsense?
Yep but then isn't all of this just nonsensical mindless entertainment anyways?

Spezza isnt even soft, he fights more than any top 6er we have other than Fish. He doesn't hit because he's not supposed to hit. Bryan Murray said it would be stupid for him to hit. He's decently good defensively now which is great but if people expect him to put up more than 40 hits they will be disappointed. Last year was his best hitting season... 23 hits in 60 games.
Reasoning: LA wants to get more work for their goaltender, Ottawa want less for theirs. With Peltz LA will have a player who is able to fund the franchise on a pay-for-play plan.
First of all, why would the Sens do an Elliott/Wiercioch for Teubert/Quick trade? I don't feel we need Quick, Elliott can handle the load while Lehner develops and Leclaire will be off the books next summer. I expect the Sens to go after an upper-echelon goalie if they feel they need to next summer, I wouldn't want to take a risk on Quick personally.
Wiercioch for Teubert? No chance in heck. Wiercioch has looked fantastic throughout the rookie tourney, he's had a stellar NCAA career and is playing for our AHL affiliate. His upside trounces Teubert's in every possible way. Not to mention that Gryba has stepped up and become a very nice defensive D-man prospect for the Sens (along with Cowen and Ben Blood).
No reason for the Sens to do it, and I'm sure the Kings don't want to put their eggs in an Elliott/Bernier tandem.
Going to assume it's just more bogus hockeybuzz shenanigans, obviously.
I could see the Kings coveting Michalek though. Don't see any reason the Sens would move him, and the Kings don't really seem like they have the pieces to move for him short of moving a key piece of their future. But that doesn't mean Lombardi hasn't inquired about it.
