I had the same idea.
It only got better when Brandon Duckworth and Dave Coggin filled in.

I was about to make this joke then remembered that I didn't find it hilarious in 2001. Quite the opposite. Sad to remember.

I didn't wear a cup when I played HS football...
I'd be more concerned about batting, I mean, one nutshot from a fastball and your sex life is over.

Pretty hard to get hit in the nuts when you're batting. Though, I did see someone get hit with a curve in the nuts once.

Foul tip could get you. Pretty unlikely, but weird stuff happens when you don't prepare for it!

I believe Tomas Perez struck out swinging on a Randy Johnson slider that hit him in the nuts, that was ages ago.

What a quick turn around. It seems like we were just 3 games down and now 3 up. Proud of the way weve been playing as of late. Im a little worried about Halladay hes been "human" as of late. Im sure he'll get out of it I just want him healthy and ready for the playoffs. Hamels has been our best pitcher in his last few starts. Hes just dominating out there. Id argue hes better than the '08 Hamels. Lets just hope he returns to form in the playoffs and can the the "World Series MVP" Cole Hamels.

This really makes me sad because I always said that I hate the Yankees and nearly every player on their team (most for more than just being Yankees, it seems they always employ total ****tards), but still considered Jeter, Riviera and Petitte class acts.

I am now 2 down, if Riviera ends up in a Dominican Republic brothel with 3 plus size hookers, a goat and cream cheese then I guess the Yankees will officially have 0 redeeming qualities.

I really don't have a problem with this to be honest. Do whatever you can to get on base, if the ump called it a walk, you think Jeter is just gonna tell him "Oh no, it hit my bat."

Your example I agree with, but there's a line here that was crossed. If the ball hits your bat, you can spin away quickly and see if the ump will give you first. But the acting job afterward was completely unnecessary. Once he awards you first, go there. Make it clear that you're fine. Don't waste time with the gimping and waiting for the med staff to come feel up your wrist.

Total bush league, and from a guy who I never thought would do something like that. I guess he's taking tips from afraud.

Yeah I was a little turned off by the acting as well. What a clown.

I don't have a problem faking getting hit. Everyone does it. But the whole theatrics with the trainer afterwards is a bit much.

It's also one thing to walk into a wawa and buy some milk, give the kid and $10 and he gives you back change for a $20 and you walk out. It's another to hold a knife to his throat and demand the cash.
