They don't allow camcorders just still image cameras. I"ll check again but that was the rules the past few years

I think part of it is perspective (he's closer to the camera than McIlrath and McDonagh) but yeah he's a big guy

They are all on the same line, and the angle isn't skewed too much. Looks like he has a solid inch on McIlrath.

Grachev and McIlrath are both listed at 6'4". I suspect McIlrath may be closer to 6'3" right now.

Grachev is probably a bit heavier too since he's older and has a season of professional play under his belt while Dylan is still filling out.

Grachev is a big boy. I just hope he didn't lose that speed we saw from him in Brampton. He's going to be a force in the AHL this season. Book it.

In that picture they look about the same height. Grachev may be more filled out(only slightly) but McIlrath, IMO, has more room to fill out than Evgeny does. McIlrath is every bit the 6'4 212 lbs they listed him for the draft(and he may be heavier after an offseason with Reg Grant). He is going to be a monster.

So going back to last season:

Stepan...

-Lead the WJC in scoring and captain of WJC Gold medal winning team.

-Lead Wisconsin to the NCAA Championship game. And lead Wisconsin in scoring.

-Lead Traverse City tournament in scoring. And a captian.

McDonagh was the Traverse City captain. I guess Stepan could have been an alternate but I didn't pay attention to see if they had them

He was also 2nd in NCAA Div I in total points (9th in PPG among top 50 scorers). Tied for 1st in NCAA Div I in assists (3rd in assists per game).

That's what I read from the posts here that he was an alternate captain.

So, he was recognized by the Rangers as a leader as he has been everywhere he plays.

Starting to see a clear pattern here. That he isn't just a leader in the lockerroom, but he backs it up on the ice.

He's consistently a leader and top performer on every team and every level he plays.

This kid is going to be a real heck of a player.

When do the opening day rosters get announced? I'm going to the scrimmage between Hartford and Bridgeport at Quinnipiac and would love to see Stepan there.

I think you'll be disappointed. I think Stepan will play a few games for the Rangers to open the year.
