Wow... my prediction is looking more and more possible as time goes on. Guess I'm not the only person who can see what a talented team we have. (When you're on HF a lot, you almost feel like the habs suck no matter what with all the pessimism going on all the time, even when we have a great team like now people complain and say we suck and won't compete)

I mean 15+ is good imo, can't complain now even if we're next.

We should show up in the day or two.....I think most would agree, we are middle of the pack stuff, unless Price is lights out, and we have no key injuries...wishful thinking...

Any team ranked in the top 20 barring injuries and stellar goaltending could be a top 5 team in the NHL imo.

Goaltending and having no injuries for a team goes far, especially a team like ours where the main thing holding us back is our size. (Our players are more prone to being injured because it's tougher to take a hit when you aren't big. Guys like Gio get hits that knocked them cause they're short where as other guys it's shoulder on shoulder)

New York Rangers was my guess for the next one. I still think that the Ottawa Senators should be rated below the Habs.
I'm happy they haven't underrated us as they so often do

I think you're right, I bet we're up before the end of the weekend. I'm hoping for Sunday! Then I hope we overachieve on our ranking in the season!

So they've got us at 15 - I'm not sure I would put Ottawa or Buffalo ahead of us, but Buffalo does have the best goaltender in the world right now in Ryan Miller

I don't think people realize how many man games we lost to injury last year, the majority of those game came from our star players too in Markov,Camm,Gionta,Kostitsyn, ect.

If we can have a season with even an average amount of injuries, and some goal support for Price, we can finish anywhere from 6th-4th in the conference.

I think 15th is fair. We will finish between 12 and 15 in the league. Buffalo, Phoenix, Los Angeles will be behind us

Euh..

Who cares what TSN, HockeyNews, Sportsnet, RDS or Al-Jazeera believe we'll end up in the standings. It's not like we can't control our own faith.

It's just predictions. It means nothing.

With the buckets and buckets of money we made them for scoring the Washington Habs series, you would think they would want us back there.

Haha, CBC taking the Sens and the Pens.

That still cracks me up.

they are just predictions, but i don't really see why every publication i've read (forecaster, THN) and now TSN (and probably others) all have Ottawa ahead of us. They really must believe that old man Gonchar (who's also injury prone lately) will make a big difference. I think the loss of Volchenkov will actually be the real difference maker for them. I mean besides Phillips, who actually wants to play defence on this team?? Kuba, Campoli, Gonchar and Karlsson are all offensive guys.

That said Peter Regin is a real gem of a player, and Spezza may decide this year that he actually wants to play for the Senators. Still, I'd argue that with the old age of Alfreddson, Kovalev and Gonchar, the not-so defensive defense, and the not "great" goaltending tandem of Leclaire and Elliott, you'd think at least someone would think they might have had a fluky year last year.
