Markov Injury?

Hey, quick question.

Is Markov going to be starting the season with the Habs or will he miss significant time after all? I picked him up in my hockey pool forgetting about that but now I'm starting to worry.

There was an article very recently where markov stated that he could be back in a month... maybe longer, maybe shorter.

These kinds of injuries are the type that you have to be extremely cautious with, so I would lean towards the longer estimations... soo maybe 4-7 weeks from now

From what I've read though, It would be a surprise not to see marky back at some point in October.

He was working out with the Habs S&C coach during the the rookie camp and anyone who saw him said he looks good.
Worst case is he misses a couple games but it's very likely he starts the season

From Steven Hindle Sept 15th:
Quote:
Markov was all smiles while he talked and passed the puck around with Eller. He showed no signs of pain when he chose to hit full-throttle, yet you could see that Andrei is behind on his conditioning...but that should be of no worry as the overwhelming positive sign was that he was out there.

The one thing I will say, to provide you with an idea of how Markov was looking out on the ice; if the Habs were playing a playoff game tonight, I would have assumed that he was playing.

Okaay, hmm. If he's not back before Oct. 21st I'll have the option to trade him. Thanks !

All recent paper articles state that he won't miss a game, but he's for sure going to be back in September.

You should keep him. He'll have a monster season for sure regardless of if he misses a couple of games!

For sure I will if he's only missing a couple games, hopefully he rebounds nicely. Picked him up in the last round of my pool too
