If Kesler gets the "C", get ready to another Mikko Koivu comparaison...

Eric Belanger finally signed with the Yotes. One-year, 750k, Very good signing.

looks like the Caps couldn't dealt Tomas Fleischmann after all.

even if Belanger is a whiny ***** in the locker room as has been contended that's a good deal for the yotes. Wonder if he'll be satisfied playing where the put him?

Belanger is a perfect Dave Tippet style center, though. That's one of the best signings from a value perspective, all summer.

The only reason he signed so cheap is because Washington reportedly screwed him over.

Not that it's a bad signing, but there's no way he would've signed that cheap had Washington followed through no their supposed verbal contract.

Good for him regardless, at least he's playing. And on a pretty decent team at that. Shame he'll never get the fan support he got here or Washington though.

More on the Belanger-Washington situation. Let's just say his agent may not be getting George McPhee's Christmas card.

New Rangers thirds. Although they are similar to the regular New York jerseys, I really like them

They really do have some great jerseys. The white Lady Liberty one from the late-90s is one of my favorite alternates.

According to multiple reports Pat Burns has passed away. May he RIP.

Looks like those might have been wrong.

10 years ago I would have agreed with you. In present day, this has about as much impact on this team as Elias going down for the Devils. Very little. I don't think he's even in the Top 3 lines.

He's the #2/#3 center - it's not like he's been exiled to the scoreless Boogaard line like many a quality prospect/player.

Actually....there was a significant amount of time last season where he was #3/#4 center on that team because he couldn't do anything but win a faceoff from time to time. New York isn't exactly hurting for prospects.

The Rangers would probably perfer Drury's injury last for half the season.

They don't need him and they could use the cap space.
