He probably was watching him doing some puck handling drills.
There are pictures of said drill on flickr.com

That mask is sick. One of the best masks I have seen. Although I don't know how well it will mix with his pads. His set up last year blended very well.

When I watch interviews with players and coaches as soon as Timmy opens his mouth, I see their face it just turns to, "what the **** is this guy talking about?"

Ben Holmstrom was called up to practice with the regulars. In the last day or so.

That is because Tim asked him the same question 11 times. How many ways can you ask the ask the guy about the atmosphere Tim?

Went to practice today, and at the end a few guys were taking breakaways against the goalies. Lappy burnt Boucher bad and proceeded to gloat all the way back to center ice, it was pretty funny.

Zherdev is absolutely nasty. Him and Giroux had what seemed like a competition going for who could score the most and or pull off the most ridiculous moves during the breakaways. It was crazy to watch. Zherdev's hands are amazing. He scored on a move I've never seen before. He put it off his back foot, but didn't kick the puck in, he just hit his skate hard enough and at the right angle that it popped up into the air and went into the net. It was nasty.

Also Leino is a deke machine. He was out with Pronger, Betts, and a bunch of Phantoms during the first practice. He was pulling moves off all over the place. After that practice ended he put a glove on the ice and just started deking around it. Doesn't really sound impressive but he was doing some sick things with the puck.

Hearing that Adam Morrison has been returned to the WHL's Saskatoon Blades. Any truth?

Probably a dumb question: is age the primary reason Eriksson is not in training camp? (sorry if this has been asked ad nauseum)

I think its more that, they think he needs a year or 2 in Swedens top league. He is 20 so by 22 he should be ready to come over. Personally, I think he will come over next season. They almost brought him over this season.

The Flyers thought it would be better for his long-term success if he played some more time with the Swedish Elite League.

Just wanted to give him more seasoning in Europe. Besides, even if they wanted him over here, they'd have to figure out how to squeeze him in somehow because our minor league rosters are pretty full in terms of goalies.

I was just on CSNPhilly.com and saw someone referring Bobrovsky to Pelle. They compared their height and called Bob a short goalie like Pelle. Pelle was 5'9" Bob is 6'2"...not too much the same.

Jeff Reese's comment about traffic in front of Bobrovsky is important. If the Leafs and future opponents generate sustained pressure, it'll be interesting to see how he handles and adapts to that.
