That's what the report said, not me.

Also what he said at the time of the trade vs. later on afterward is likely very different.

Roenick also didn't get the "Sucks." Actually, the Sharks put him in the line up so we could give him an ovation.

There seems to be a pretty decent list of players who didn't get booed/"sucks" - can anyone think of anyone who did? Brashear?

He got booed when he was still playing here so I'm not surprised.

Just got my tickets for this game. May be the only one I make it to in Philly this year but just feel like it needs to be done.

I'm definitely going to be there, with my Gagne jersey, when he comes back to town.

He'll get a standing O when he's introduced, and I'd be willing to bet he gets cheered pretty hard if he nets a point, too.

He'll get cheered pretty hard. If he doesn't I will have a heart attack. I can't imagine they wouldn't though. Most fans know Gagne was a cap casualty that didn't have to happen, so I doubt they blame him.

It will feel so weird to see him play against us. If only Homer knew how to count to 59. I hope Gagné scores and the crowd cheers it, while he himself doesn't show too much emotion.

Btw, that Umberger thing was pretty sweet. After Gagné and Downie, he's probably the ex-Flyer I'd welcome back the most.

The weird thing is the guy keeps saying it's traditional that Flyers fans yell "sucks!" at the announcement of opposing players' names. I've heard that happen, but that is not a Philly thing. I've heard that more often at other arenas and in other sports, actually.

I'm still waiting for Tampa to make a Gagne player tee, but I doubt they will at this point.

I sure hope he gets cheered like crazy...he did a ton for this team for 10 years. He deserves a huge reception.

Yes, I would do this. I know I need to get over it, but I have not worn any Flyers hats/shirts since the trade out of anger. I hope Gagne gets 40 goals this year. That trade was utterly stupid.

I got tickets to his first game back in Philly. I'm so excited! If I can get a Gags TBL jersey by then I'll wear it. Tickets are cheap on stubhub if you don't mind sitting upper level. My friends and I actually prefer row 15 in one of the corner 200 sections. You can stand up the whole time without worrying about bothering anybody behind you.

Yea people are morons.

I'm sure thousands of people now think "Ole, Ole, Ole, Ole" is some fancy new hockey chant. I had to yell at some people during the Cup Finals last year.

Agreed. Wow.

These are people that could benefit from the Hurricanes' old PA announcement, "Fans, icing is when..."
