I suppose it's less of an argument against actual fighting, and more against players who's sole purpose is to fight, but still.

I for one think goons serve a purpose. They are there to stick up for other players so the more talented guys don't have to sit in the box for 5 mins. You can't have guys like Carcillo taking runs at your star players. The next time he does, he will have to answer to the Boogie Man, and I don't think he's looking forward to that.

Wiseman scores 16 secs into rookie game to give Devils 1-0 lead over Rangers.

Devs leading rookie scrimmage so far, in case any was wondering.

Haha I'm more surprised by the fact that someone in that thread said that Orr can play decent hockey as well as punch people

Well I'm not going to go to the liquor store, purchase a 12 pack, and make tacos in honor of this fine day. No... I am...

Hockeys back *****!!!!!

Woo - hoo!

Cant wait to monitor the players tonight! Especially Stepan, MZA, Fedotenko, Kennedy and McDonagh!

I started a season in NHL 11 with the real roster, and it was terribly difficult filling out the lines. Anyone of the bubble players trying to make this team has to make it really easy for the Rangers to carry them on the roster. The next few weeks is going to be really interesting, but let's be glad there are some tough decisions to be made. Thats a good thing...

Can't wait!!!

LGR!!! KIll those ****ing Diablows.

I dont care if its preseason, I never want to lose to those ******.

Since it's preseason they probably just gave him any number. If he makes the team, he'll definitely get 21. Same thing happened with MDZ when he was wearing 43 in the preseason last year.

Torts freaking loooooves Kennedy.

Kennedy has probably been the love affair of his coaches his entire career.

I don't know much about Kennedy, and don't know much about his game. Anybody want to tell me the type of game he plays?

Exactly. Hard-worker, Good skills, plays both wing and center and has a good head on his shoulders.

If he can(or did) add some muscle he will be almost identical to Callahan with better passing skills. All-around good player

Yeah, though if Torts thinks Kennedy is a solution for the center spot with Gaborik, he's sorely mistaken..

I don't care that it's just pre-season. I want them to POUND the Debs tonight. I'd like to see Boogs crack Kovalchuk and set the tone for the rest of the year as well.

Words can't express the hatred I have for those ****** nuggets and their fans.

lol I'd like to see that aswell but i don't think boogey is fast enough to deliver a big one on kovalchuk. Wouldn't mind seeing Mcdonagh lay him out though.

I would love it if our 4th line this season was Avery-Kennedy-Prust. Watching last year Shelly-Anisimov-Prust if you can get a 4th line that can score some goals and play it would be a huge help on a team that sometimes has difficulty scoring.

I dont think you need to dress Boogaard every night. You really just need him for games against teams like Philly or Toronto.
