Of course, it is too early to judge, but Ramsay, so far, has been a breath of fresh air, so to speak. Just check this out:
It’s not going to be easy to play here. I hope they’ve picked up on that so far in training camp. It’s not going to be easy. It’s going to be demanding. There is a lot expected from our players. We expect to see that commitment at practice and in the games. They better understand that because it won’t work any other way
Between him, and Torch, and Duds, I am beginning to think that maybe I won't actually be let down AGAIN, although I understand that it may be a couple of seasons to see the results of what is happening now, at least it feels like something is perhaps coming together maybe. right? dare I?
One other observation from practice... Mike Stothers was handling the vocal part of practice. Calling drills, blowing the "go" whistle. He's huge. Big enough to pretty much take any of our guys save Aliu. Byfuglien didn't really look very imposing next to him.
Torchetti isn't going to take crap off guys either. And certainly not Rick Dudley. He won't cowtow like Waddell did for Kovalcrap.
This staff is sooooo much different than JA (mushmouth), Weeks, and company. Anderson couldn't even look a guy in the face. Nobody on this staff "jokes" with guys. They command respect. Saturday will tell IMO. Hopefully the results are different.
I think that what you're seeing is coaches actually run the team as opposed to a group of players. Kovy's Klick isn't in charge.... You'll see the best part of the Hawks trades become Ladd, but in the end, a team that plays hard and plays together.
