Yep I can totally see them doing that to make a certain rabid, albiet small group of fans happy, yep

Now had you said TRADED as part of some package deal for a better 2nd line LW or Center option ... then OK, maybe.

Gotta agree w/ Ersberg being about the only one, maybe Harrold, MAYBE ? but I doubt it.
Everyone else they could send to Manchester I think ? or say Fransson would just head back to Europe ?

The Minnesota Wild lost their backup goalie, Josh Harding, and it doesn't look good for him, appears to be a serious knee injury.

My guess, the Wild will acquire a backup, and it would make sense for the Kings to send Ersberg to Minny.

They don't have to dip into waivers for such a claim. Muzzin is that type of player.

Any quality players will be taken by the lower ranked teams, so I highly doubt we pick anyone up. Harrold and Ersberg are the most likely, but I don't see the organization waiving both of them. Harrold should have the same roll on the team as he did last year and Ersberg will likely be moved for a 7th.

And Leighton is hurt. They're not saying how serious it is, but it's a back injury that started this summer. I say one of them (if both injuries are long term) look at Jose Theodore and the other could be hunting for someone like Ersberg. I hope so, the dude deserves to be on an NHL club IMO. He'll never been more than a good backup, but he deserves the chance.

Harrold could be a casualty IMO.
We are stocked on D and we have lots of young forwards ready to make the jump and fighting to stay in LA. Peter has become expendable IMHO.

Harrold and Ersberg could be more useful on other teams. No need to keep their pro careers at a standstill.

Agree.

Harrold is very versatile and served his role quite well here.

The cupboard is so stocked now that I think we would be better off getting the kids a cup of coffee in the pros to fill in.

Forwards: Moller, Loktionov, Elkins, Lewis, and etc...

Dmen: Muzzin, Fransson, Hickey, Voinov, and etc...

We didn't have this kind of talent before and Peter was a great fill-in. I just think the youth has passed him up talent-wise.

Ersberg is as good as gone despite what Hammond, or anyone in the organization says. They are just being polite. Ersberg was also very good considering the position he was put in here. I think he will make a good back-up somewhere, and he has shown he can carry a regular season load at times and be effective.

It would be nice to see us get a low pick for either guy. Due to their contracts, versatility, and a team mentality I don't think either guy would clear waivers.

I agree with this. It doesn't seem likely, but possible.

For real man! whats with this hate of Parse? ill never understand the way some fans root against players that played their way thur the system (Cammalleri got the same kind of hate years ago).

some players i understand becoming whipping boys. when they make mistake after mistake or a coach shoves him down your throat. but Parse?

Look, DL has to be consistent and treat everyone like crap on their way out. That way we set ourselves up to miss out on players like O Sully who are clearly backbones of their respected teams. It keeps the pain real. If you're gonna blow it, blow it by a mile.

Wow ... New York Rangers placed veteran defenceman Wade Redden on waivers Saturday ... since our D is so weak and we need ...

OK, can't do it with a straight face

but seriously how did this guy fall so far from grace of his Ottawa days ?
I don't remember reading about any serious injury with him ?

He'd look good in a Ducks Jersey though ... well, good for 'US' I mean

Everybody who thinks putting Parse would be a good move knows **** about this game. Aside from the fact you like him or not, putting Parse on waivers would just be atrocious asset management.

If the Kings decided that Scott is expendable, they will sure get something back in a trade.

I'm very happy that, when you say waiver wire, the first thing to pop into my mind is 'who might we waive' rather than 'who might we claim'. Times have changed a lot.

I think you got that backward. We had to pray for players from waivers because we were so poor.

No, he's got it the same as you ... instead of being a 'buyer' because we sucked, he's happy we've become good enough to move into the 'seller' category come waiver time, I understood him anyways

We always had people on waivers. We lost more than a few good players in fact.
