Pouliot on the 1st IS the way to go. I would have preferred to see Palushaj with Lapierre. Though both Pyatt and Maxwell needs to prove themselves as well. And frankly, again, it comes down to who should have legitimate shots to prove themselves.
As I said it with Desharnais, Maxwell, Pouliot and Pyatt are really battling for a real spot while we know Palushaj isn't. Palushaj is actually battling for a spot in Martin's head when a callup will be needed. The other 3 are battling for a real spot at the beginning of the season.
agreed, weve got to see all possible combinations on the top 6 with AK, Ben and Lars
First line is good, I like Pouliot up there. It gives a chance to show what he can do.
Second line, Not bad but I don't see the point of putting Palushaj with Halpern and Moen. Maybe teach him the ropes of a more physical game?
Bottom two lines show our youth, so I'm looking forward to that.
Defensive line-up, I don't have a problem with. I'm really psyched to see what Klubertanz can do.
But when you think about it... It's pre-season. The time where you see what works with your top lines in terms of chemistry and also what your youth can offer. Just sit back, enjoy and cut out the complaining.
First line is very dangerous, second line won't produce much goals but will not be outplayed by anyone, third line is actualy an NHL third line and fourth line is the kid line.
The real weak spot is the Klubertantz - Weber pairing... ouch!

Yeah. That third pairing on Defense is just plain nasty... Now I admit I haven't seen much from Klubertanz... But Weber, my god is just plain awful. He may actually be worse then MAB, he's got no wheels on him what so ever. He's regressed.

At this point i'm pretty sure the management sees Carle ahead of Weber, and it's also how it's gonna be since he has to go trough waivers.

With good reason!
Carle was Hamilton's best defenseman before his injury last season (Ahead of even PK). He is stable in his own end and he has above average skating, and good offensive instincts. Will he ever put up Andrei Markov like numbers? I don't ever see it happening. He didn't look out of place in his 3 NHL games either.
If he can stay healthy I see Carle as a more offensive and slightly less defensively aware version of Josh Gorges. So essentially a solid #4-5 guy.
I'm usually not one to get into rumors and stuff, but I'm starting to wonder if the one about JM not being happy with Avtsin is true. It's odd that he hasn't been dressed yet.
