Ribeiro's value will definitely be higher around the deadline than it is right now. That said, I'm a big Ribeiro fan and think the team should keep him unless he fetches us one badass defenseman, which I doubt will happen.

The only way Ribeiro gets moved at any point in the season is if Richards gets extended. Without a Richards extension it would be a terrible move to trade Ribeiro. You may lose two #1 centers in the span of a few months which would be catastrophic, especially in terms of marketing in the DFW area.

Tebuert + Voynov would definitely be considered. Voynov, had he not gotten injured this offseason, would have been the favorite to make the Kings roster out of camp. Tebuert is still a work in progress, but damn, he's going to be a mean SOB to play against.

Sure.....by the Kings.

Dallas wouldn't even think twice about rejecting that.

Of course, Richards is not Kovy, and so DAL may only end up getting three out of the above four components. How does that translate into a hypothetical scenario? Something like this IMO from NYR for instance...

F Artem Anisimov (ELC NHLer)
D Michal Rozsival (somewhat overpaid but serviceable NHLer)
F Christian Thomas (prospect)
I guess you're forgetting that Don Waddel released the details of the two huge contracts that Kovalchuk turned down days before he was traded to the Devils. Obviously that lowered his value significantly...
