Expect the national media to be all over that. I can see it now;

Valdez ruined that play, Utley had the DP.

Ok, I'm asking for some advice here, guys...

I'm in the championship for my baseball league. It's been real cut-throat all week (goes through next week, too), and the guy I'm going against just keeps hitting on every stream start he makes. I'm trying to push ahead in innings, while hoping for the best in the other pitching stats. Do you start Aldaberto Mendez against the Brewers tomorrow?

I know the Brewers can really score some runs, but I'm also curious how they'd do against a guy only seeing him for the first time.

I'd go for it. In limited action, he's been good and generally, seeing a guy for the first time a team struggles.

He was trying to protect Utley from the vicious, predatory Met sliding into second

I'm going tomorrow. Hopefully the Braves lose and we riot.

Although I don't know when the Braves play.

Me too.

Braves start at 1:35. Livan Hernandez and Brandon Beachy pitching. There's going to be some serious scoreboard watching going on.

Yea and it sucks I'm sitting in 302 which means I'm right above the scoreboard. But I have MLB At Bat on my phone so that will be going the whole time.

And we clinch at least a wild card with a win no matter what.

If they win and the Braves lose. I think the Braves game is also at 1:35.

Screw you ump, giving Mets all the pitches and Hamels nothing.

I agree... But I am concern how Hamels looked like his old 2009 self and allowed himself to get worked up and whine.

I am also concerned how in the last two days the bullpen has been exposed -- not that we didn't understand all too well already -- The Phillies going forth need Hamels to be like he was after the AS break and prior to today, and for the starters to go deep and leave little need for the mid relievers... With the off days in the postseason I feel Mad Dog and Lidge can be fine, prior to the 8th worries me though, and Hamels being solid means a lot IMO.

As Fred Shero once said "... singers have to sing".
