We probably would have beaten Washington in the playoffs that year if we had signed Nedved as an extra forward. He would have come in handy when Avery and Antropov were the only forwards that showed up for game 7.
That's an interesting take on it.

Still, we have a lot of hard competition for a few places and I doubt everyone who seems like they deserve a spot will get one, regardless of who's the current coach.

Its not impossible that he wont see time this year but making the team is a long shot... i am in no way saying that he is not eventually NHL caliber.

sickening the way some people jump on you here* without asking for a further explanation
Sickening how everyone takes everything so personal. I wasn't even replying to your post was I? dank brought up a good point in that a large portion of this board is quick to judge players. I am sorry you were a part of the generalization. I fully understand the possibility that Grachev doesn't see a game this year, but if he does I wouldn't consider it luck. He'll have to earn it just like everyone else.

But that's beside the point anyway, Nedved was indeed great in preseason and did everything he could, yet never had a real chance. I hope that that has changed.
What puzzle?

All I am saying is he might have generated offense that gave us a second goal in game 7.

It should be interesting to see how Avery plays tonight without an obvious target for his antics.
