Bob emphasizes his arch from his hips a bit more. He plays a little lower, with a little more tension in the waist. It makes him appear a little smaller and adds to some of his quickness.

Watching him it almost appears as if he's ready to snap, like a rubber-band stretched too far or a snake ready to strike.

Regarding trainings camp, he isn't here because the season in Europe already began and he has to stay with Skeleftea. In general, he said in an interview with Euroflyers that the Flyers thought its best for his development to play in the SEL for a couple of seasons.

Flyers hesitated - multiple years in Sweden?

After a successful last season with Leksand, Eriksson says the Flyers decided that it was best for him to play in the Elitserien next. Though there was some hesitation about it at first.

"The Flyers didn't really know if they'd want me to come over, but then they decided that it could be good for me to play some years in the Elitserien."

Dont know if it was posted anywhere but

from euroflyers

Quote:
Flyers release Blake Gal, Brendan Ranford and Justin Dowling from try-outs.
Quote:
Michael Chaput re-assigned to Lewiston, flu-ridden Ricard Blidstrand re-assigned to Regina.
Quote:
In addition to Chaput and Blidstrand, Flyers have also re-assigned D Tyler Hostetter back to juniors.
I asked him about Ranford. Ranford cant be released from tryout if he was our draft pick can he?

Only different wording, I think. Everyone but Hostetter came to camp on a tryout contract because none of them has a contract with the Flyers, and all of them have been released from their tryout contracts. Hostetter has been sent back to juniors and his entry-level contract has been postponed by one year, starts July 1st 2011 now.

Yep. I asked him and he confirmed. Meant that he was sent back to his junior team.

If Bartulis is sent down... we have about 100 d-men on the Phantoms...

Lehtivouri
Gustaffson
Marshall
Bourdon
Stephenson
Testwuide
Piskula
Jancevski

and maybe Bartulis

9 d-men for 6 spots...

Id probablly switch Shelly and Carcillo but they seem 100% set on Shelly starting.
Then why sign Carcillo for 1 million????

Cause Leighton sucks!

In all seriousness...I was at the first game against NJ and he looked just like he did in the finals, shaky....

I'm happy with that line-up if Carcillo takes Shelley's spot on a regular basis and Leino joins Briere.

O'Donnell - Pronger

I actually would consider Walker with Timonen and trade one of Coburn and Carle for a goalie...who knows.
Are you Fing serious??? Walker barely belongs in the NHL much less on a pairing with Timonen

I never said I like it, I just said it could turn out that way.
And if Walker has to be on the ice, Kimo is the only guy I want with him.

Gormley has an article about Sean O'Donnell...

http://www.courierpostonline.com/art...st-shot-at-Cup

Quote:
"He's got the experience and the know-how of what needs to be done at what time," Pronger said. "He's not an outgoing, talkative guy, but he has a lot of knowledge and he's played with a lot of guys who he's learned an awful lot from, and he can pass that along."

If Pronger, who is still rehabbing from offseason knee surgery, is reunited with Matt Carle on the Flyers' top defensive pairing, and Kimmo Timonen is paired with Meszaros on the second unit, O'Donnell could start the season alongside Braydon Coburn, giving the Flyers one of the deepest defenses in the NHL.

O'Donnell said that's the very reason he is not finished throwing his body in front of hockey pucks.

As I said before, I think it was more than Laviolette already knew what he was going to do with Maroon and Legein coming into the preseason.

He gave guys competing for a job the opportunities, and then he got a look at the guys who are newer to the organization.

It says right now that Lavi doesn't see them being able to compete for a job. We'll see how the season progresses in the AHL, and whether or not Legein can improve and Maroon can rebound.

He participated in no-contact drills the middle of last week and prior to the recent road trip. Unlikely he'll play in the preseason.

Well really no one can make this team, besides Bobo or backlund really.
We are full on F and D.

Hartnell - Briere - Leino
Carter - Richards - xxxxxxxxxx
vanRiemsdyk - Giroux - Zherdev
Carcillo/Powe/Shelley - Betts - Laperriere
Carcillo/Powe/Shelley

Pronger - Carle
Timonen - Coburn
Meszaros - O'Donnell
Walker

zzzzzzzzzz
zzzzzzzzzz

xxxxx = Nodl, Guerin, Holmstrom, Testwuide, (Carcillo, Powe)
zzzzz = Bobrovsky, Leighton, Boucher, Backlund

In my opinion, both goalie spots are open because of Leighton's injury, and I think there's one forward spot open.

I do think Lavy is giving people chances to play though. Example is Holmstrom playing 3 of the 4 games. Gustafsson playing 20 minutes one night, and then 27 minutes the next (most on team). I know we are full, but these guys are trying to push some vets out. Holsmtrom is after Powe and Carcillo's spot. Gustafsson (I guess) trying to push out Walker/O'Donnell/Bartulis

Am I sensing that Rinaldo is going to turn into another Downie/Upshall obsession for this forum?

I sure hope not.
