I voted 1-6 very early...in one of the major mags, I think it was THN, they ranked us 3rd in the West which would put us around 5-7.

Bwahahaha. We are moving passed the Sharks This is hilarious. Top 6, at least, for us. TSN has surprised me, and they sure have a lot of faith in our youth. Here's hoping they are right. GO KINGS!

The Kings did have the 8th best record in the league last year. It's not too much of a stretch to think they could move up a few spots to around 5th or so.

Very true, but this is a bit surprising, nonetheless. Though the surprise might mostly stem from us being Kings fans for such a long time... This is uncharted territory.

Detroit isn't going to be ranked higher than LA are they?

I could easily see Detroit at 6, New Jersey at 5, LA at 4, Chicago at 3, Washington at 2 and Vancouver at 1.

Well, they only had one Canadian team in the top 15 last year (which was pretty much bang on). Kings were at 23.

Should be a big year for the Kings though.

Well they certainly expect the Kings to take big steps forward this season. Unfortunately I can't say I'm as confident as we already took such huge strides last year.. I guess it's just my mentality as I prefer to temper expectations in order to be pleasantly surprised if they are exceeded.

I agree but still it is sort of nice to see us considered so highly among people who have thought so little of us over the years.

The funny thing to me is that I sort of see these kind of rankings as the kiss of death typically.
