I'll put money on one of the teams with a lot invested into their front man and which ever one faces an injury first (Lou, Kipper, Lundqvist, Fleury, Miller, etc.).

How 'bout the Habs - Theo back home to Montreal, plays backup or tandem to Carey Price (depending how Carey plays, could make Theo the starter anyhow...), good vet leader for a young goalie, but can also push price for his job better than Auld can. if he can be had for the right price it just makes sense.

Last thing you want is two goalies that blow a mental gasket in the postseason unless the Habs plan on finishing 9th or worse.

myself personally I'd take my chances with one of my gasket blowers holding it together than put my playoff hopes in the hands of Alex Auld...

We cant have a french backup in Montreal.

Imagine if Theo has a shutout then Price starts next game and allow a bad goal early in the game.

Fans will make a

THEO! THEO! THEO! chant

Back to Montreal when Price has a serious slump in mid-season.

He played a grand total of 1 game before losing his starting job in both post-seasons with the Capitals... With a terrible Canadiens team he did very well in the playoffs, maybe it had to do with the fact that he didn't lose his spot after 1 bad start...

Theodore will likely be signed in mid October once teams realize they NEED a real starting goalie with NHL caliber talent.

It was Huet. Théo was traded in 2005-06 and Price started in 2007-08

That's what I'm hoping for, as a Flyer fan, I'd rather have a Theodore/Leighton combination then a Leighton/Boucher combo in net. Theodore would do well behind the Flyers defense. Hell if Turco signed for $1.3 million after making over $5 million last year, Theodore could sign for less than a $1 million considering he hasn't received any offers and if he wants to play in the NHL.

Mid season replacement for a failing starting goaltender.

He becomes a spokesman for Propecia and is on the NHL network 12 hours a day, in their infomercial.

If things dont work out with Karlsson then the Flames would offer him a contract half way through the season. He would be cheap and a great back-up even though he would not get many games.

For the record I think that Karlsson is going to have a great season and hopefully will see 15-20 games this season. He has looked fantastic so far in camp and pre-season.

I believe Habs management made it abundantly clear they had no interest of anyone challenging Price for the starter position this season. Sanford and Auld are not good enough tenders to push Price to the back burner again like Halak before them. While Theo struggled in Montreal, he has more than enough talent to do precisely what Halak did and if such were to happen, Price's career in Montreal would be all but done.

This season has to be a Price focus to settle down the fanbase, who is still raging over Halak's untimely departure. I would be astonished if Montreal brought in Theo, even if Price falters.

Argh i wish the flyers would just sign him already. For people talking about leighton being his back-up. I wouldn't be too sure. Boosh is doing pretty good so far, and looks far better in training
