hahaha, I was thinking about it today but I don't think he will go play for us.

I don't even think he is interested to go with the Wild.

I don't think Theodore would be a very good backup, doesn't seem to have the mental makeup for it.

Why take away time from Khudobin and give it to Theodore of all people?

Why sign Theo when Huet is already on waivers?

Pierre LeBrun on CBC just said it's a possibility. Mike Russo said they're evaluating options.

I feel bad for Harding, such a promising goaltender.

He did well as a starter last year. Sure he was playing with a high-flying Capitals offense helping him out, but the Capitals defense isn't exactly amazing and he finished with a 30-7-7 record. GAA of 2.81 and save % of .911 aren't amazing, but certainly decent enough for a backup. At this point of Theodore's career, he'd be a good backup.

Not sure if the Wild will sign him. Maybe it's best for them to go with Khudobin.

I was thinking Theodore would be a good fit. But the only reason people are saying he would be the guy is because he is the best avaliable of the remaining UFA's. I don't think they are going to bring in Huet. I like the idea of them acquiring Greiss from San Jose. Others out there are Legace and Toskala. But I think to start the season, they should at least give Khudobin a chance. Then see what they got.

Seeing how Khudobin performed today, I would say that the Wild may be in the market for an NHL ready backup.

Well, I heard the Wild got contacted by 5 teams and Jose Theodore is in Chuck Fletcher's top 8 goalies he is looking for. (According to RDS/Renaud Lavoie)

lets see what will happen...

I agree with most of the posts on here that Khudobin should be given the chance, but might Fletcher claim Mannino off waivers from the Thrashers?

If Theodore is signed, Khudobin might be gone the moment his contract is up. He barely re-signed this year because he wants to play in the NHL, not the AHL. He is can't do that, he might as well be making more, playing close to home in the KHL.

Fletcher needs to realize this. With the future of Harding unclear as well, the Wild shouldn't set themselves up for possibly losing Harding and Khudobin after this season.

Might make more sense to try Khudobin out as Backstrom's back-up, and see if he can handle it. He played well in his two games last year.

There might be some good vets on waivers in the next two weeks that are better fits for a backup role than Theodore or Khudobin. Might as well wait and see if a better option comes up.

I was more thinking that Theodore might not be happy riding the pine for many games. And is he going to come in and give a quality start or is he going to be up and down? A good backup has to be steady.

But in hindsight, the Wild defense is not good, and with Backs having injuries the last couple seasons, they'd probably want to reduce his workload, and that means they have to get someone decent.

Khudo would be fine if Backs was getting 70+ starts but I don't see that happening this year.

The Wild would be better off with Theodore than Khudobin.

I don't see Theo taking a job like this just for the sake of having a job. He wants to, and arguably still can be, a started.
