Yeah, probably late November or early December.

He's re-dedicating himself to hockey after the whole Colour Commentating debacle.

Because he will go on LTIR to start the season he has to be out 10 regular season games minimum. Or he could pull a Demitra, and be out until February basically.

Didn't he say he was ahead of schedule though? I would guess mid Novemeber, it's hard to imagine he'd miss more than 15 games.

Actually, Canucks play in Montreal on November 9th and that would be the 14th game of the season. I'm willing to bet Burrows has a big circle on the calendar for that date.

Relief washes over me. He actually had me missing Kevin Weekes.

And he's supposed to be ahead of schedule. He's skating with the team in practice, but he's not cleared for contact yet iirc. Still pending medical evaluation, but it's looking as though he might be back in October sometime. *crosses fingers*

He's definitely a horrid colour commentator, but for some reason I can't help but to smile at what he says sometimes.

haha, I thought he was awesome, in a "so bad its good" sort of way.

"Da green mans" made me laugh.

I also cracked up every time there was dead air, either Burrows missing the obvious cue from Shorty to insert some colour, or some bizarre or banal comment from Burrows that left Shorty momentarily dazzled and speechless.

Its not supposed to be professional, its just supposed to be fun. And I thought it was, even if it was sort of painful at times.

Morrison was a way better colour guy tho. Maybe they can switch up when Burrows comes back from injury?

This whole experiment was worth to hear him say slewfoot again.

There was supposed to be an update on Burrows' injury last week that never happened according to Iain MacIntyre.

I posted this a couple of days back:

No update this week on Burrows, who was to have major test on shoulder. GM Gillis tells me time frame unchanged: 5-6 mos from June surgery.

Just assume he'll be back around the same time he got hot last year and start tearing it up again. Hopefully he delays the scoring streak a bit so it extends and includes the playoffs.

According to my sources Burrows will have a Cybex test on his shoulder on Wednesday at UBC secret testing facility.
